UPDATE We met the goal for half month's rent of $425 and purchased 2 bags of dog food for Hawkeye.
I am keeping tabs to be sure Kim will be able to cover the second half of this month's rent on the July 15.

🚨 Urgent Help Needed for Hawkeye & His Mom 🚨

Hawkeye and his amazing mom are facing eviction. She’s doing everything she can—working two jobs despite recent health struggles—but it’s not enough right now. One of her jobs just cut her hours down to 20/week, and they’re falling behind.

They need $425 to stay housed. We've already raised $250—just $175 more to go!

🐾 Hawkeye also needs food (she usually orders it through Amazon). If you’d rather help by sending food, I can share her Amazon info—just message me.

We had a phenomenal Sunday! Over 200 pets were vaccinated at our first LOW-COST Vaccination clinic. We offered vaccinations, heartworm testing and microchips. Our utmost thanks for the Hempstead Fire Station allowing us to stage the clinic and Dr Chellgren, Horse and Hound Mobile Veterinary for providing veterinary services. WOW Her team did great. We vaccinated a “bunch” of pets in record time! It wouldn't have happened with out our great volunteers, Boyd, Daphne (vet tech extraordinaire) and Saige (student from A&M). They took care of the people and their pets.

In order for us to provide another low-cost vaccination clinic we need those that can to help us by sharing our cause and donating to pay for the vaccines, heartworm test and microchips. Welcome Dr Autrey to Hill Veterinary Clinic. Have great first day!

Exciting news!! We have added a third veterinarian to the SHVC Family.

Yall help us welcome Dr. Kristen Autrey!
She was born and raised in Galveston/Santa Fe, Texas. Dr. Autrey turned her love for animals into a lifelong passion. She graduated from Ball High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Tarleton State University. Her academic path continued at Texas A&M University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.

She joins us with experience in mixed animal practice and a special interest in food animal medicine and herd health, but she enjoys caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. At home, she enjoys life with her husband Kevin, their one-eyed husky Nova, their German Shepherd Beckham, and their cat Murphy. She’s also a strong advocate for drowning prevention, including CPR and swim safety programs.

Dr. Autrey is excited to be part of the Star Hill Veterinary Clinic team and is looking forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care for both large and small animals!
