😢 We have some sad news.. 💔

Arthur has been returned and he doesn’t understand why. He left here thinking he finally had his forever. A home. A person. A place to belong.

And now… he’s back in a kennel. 😢

Arthur sits quietly, a little more withdrawn than before. The spark he had is dimmer. He watches the door like he’s waiting for someone to come back for him… but no one does. 💔

And the hardest part? He did nothing wrong.

He is still the same amazing boy—just a little more confused, a little more hurt, and a little more in need of someone to show him that forever is REAL.

✨ Arthur is:
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Smart & eager to learn
🐾 Energetic and playful
🐾 A total cuddle bug
🐾 An incredible family companion

He doesn’t need perfection. He doesn’t need anything fancy. He just needs someone who won’t give up on him. Because right now, Arthur is starting to wonder if anyone ever will. 💔

👉 Please come meet Arthur or apply to adopt
📢 If you can’t, please share—his life truly depends on someone seeing him and choosing him 💙

This dog was dropped at a shelter after living in a quiet home — with space to stretch out, a routine he understood, and a family he believed he was guarding forever.

What you’re seeing isn’t “stubbornness.”
It’s stress-related illness — something veterinarians often see in Great Pyrenees after surrender.

Great Pyrenees are gentle guardians.
They bond deeply with their people and the space they protect.
They thrive on stability, familiarity, and knowing their flock — human or animal — is safe.

When that world vanishes overnight, their bodies react before their minds can make sense of it.

Have you ever felt so anxious it made you physically sick?
Now imagine that feeling never easing.

For this Great Pyrenees, the fear is constant.

All he knows is confusion:

Where is my home?
Where is the yard I watched over?
Why am I on a cold surface instead of my favorite spot by the door?
Why are there so many unfamiliar sounds?

He didn’t lose his family slowly.
He lost them all at once.

One day he was the calm protector of his household.
The next, he was just another kennel number.

Great Pyrenees aren’t built for sudden upheaval.
They are steady, loyal, and deeply attached to their people and territory.
They don’t understand “rehoming.”
They don’t understand “circumstances changed.”
They only understand that the family they guarded… never came back.

Here’s the hard truth:

Nearly half of dogs surrendered to U.S. shelters never make it out.
For large, adult breeds like Great Pyrenees, the odds can be even more challenging due to size and housing limitations.

Surrender isn’t a fresh start.
For many dogs, it’s a breaking point.

Pets are not temporary chapters.
They’re not hobbies.
They’re not disposable when life gets inconvenient.

There is no perfect dog.
They shed.
They get sick.
They cost money.
They test your patience.

But a Great Pyrenees’ loyalty?

Quiet. Steadfast. Unwavering.

This dog would never stop protecting you when things got hard.
He already proved that.

Please —
don’t abandon them.

✨THIS✨ is what in-home pet care looks like.

✅Your pet staying relaxed in the place that feels most familiar.
✅Keeping their routine as close to normal as possible.
✅One-on-one personal attention.

All of which reduces the amount of stress they feel while they're waiting for you to return home! 🥳

My 2026 schedule is open for booking drop-in pet sitting and walks. 🐶🐱 Reserve your pet's care for vacation dates, long work days, or to simply help them get a little extra lovin' on any given day!

🚨ELF ON THE SHELF PLAYERS 🚨
I have been seeing an OVERWHELMING amount of posts on pet groups about dogs consuming chocolate from their Elf on the Shelf set ups. Make sure you're being mindful of where you're creating your Elf sets and if pets may have access. CHOCOLATE CAN BE TOXIC TO DOGS. Toxicity depends on a few factors including:

- The type of chocolate
- Amount consumed vs the size of the dog

If your dog has consumed chocolate contact your vet immediately for guidance. Especially if your pet is exhibiting symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, tremors, or seizures.
