This is Cross Stock Horses new official logo! I had the privilege of working with Katy over at Loose Cinch over the past few months. I’ve loved her artwork for years, and when I began searching for a logo designer, I caught a glimpse of her bronc buster hoodie I’ve had for a couple of years with her artwork on it. I was so excited to get to work with her on this design. She’s the best!

In the age of short cuts and AI creations, I was grateful to be able to support another woman owned small business in the western industry.

“Dre” is a three year old sorrel AQHA filly. With names like Dualin Boon and Athena Puddy Cat on her papers, she should watch a cow. With around 90 days of training, Dre has been started on the flag and will be started on cattle soon. This is the quick, feely kind everyone is looking for. Dre could go all day, and then do it again all night. She will have no quit, and still be the first one to meet you in the pasture the next morning for scratches.

Built right and cute moving, this filly could go any direction with a confident partner. A clean slate that hasn’t been ridden to death her two year old year, she’s waiting to find her perfect job! Multiple videos available upon request.

Calling all chestnut mare lovers!!
“CC” is a stout three year old AQHA filly with going on 90 days of training. Bred to cow, she is started on the flag and cattle, and is developing a strong stop and the ability to move through herself easily. She’s attentive and feely without being “hot”. She’s the kind that’s just going to keep getting more confident and will be able to get gritty enough to hold her own when the cattle get tough.

Atypical of that “chestnut mare” syndrome, CC is kind and respectful on the ground. This is a great opportunity for one that hasn’t been pushed too hard and could go make a jam up sorter, team penner, heel horse, barrel horse, etc.! She’s been started right, now you can finish her your way. Multiple videos available upon request.

Meet “Bucky”

Bucky is a 2014 AQHA gelding colored up as pretty as they come! They say pretty is as pretty does, and a cowboy’s color warrants a cowboy’s background. This horse was bred and raised on the LX Ranch in Amarillo, Texas and knows a hard days work. We were told his resume includes doctoring cattle and working feedlots. Since Bucky has been here, I’ve found him to be a confident and willing partner opening and closing gates, pushing and working cattle, ponying colts, and riding outside. He stands around 15.2 hands and has got some bone and substance to him. Bucky’s gaits are smooth and easy to ride, and he handles around nicely one handed with a big soggy stop!

Bucky is a gentleman on the ground, and in the saddle. He has saddled up everyday to go to work the same horse; he is consistent and good natured. Many videos available.

AQHA transfer paperwork is with the association and is pending.
Located in Hayesville, NC. Message me for an appointment to come try him. PPEs are welcome at buyers expense.

I now have 3 two-year-olds in the barn for sale. This is one of the two fillies getting started.

Lots of firsts around the stables lately! The two fillies had their first saddling today.
