We’re excited to share that Kilo has officially found his forever home! 🩷🐾

It turns out that although we searched high and low for the best possible fit for him… he was right at home all along ❤️

Kilo’s foster mom (and one of the founders of Rescue Pets Inc.) has officially joined the foster fail club! Over the past few months, Kilo formed an incredible bond with his foster siblings — and ultimately, they chose one another.

We could not be happier for this goofy, lovable boy and his forever family. Congratulations, Kilo! 🎉

Happy National Rescue Dog Day 🐾❤️

Today we celebrate the rescue dogs who got a second chance at life — and the amazing people who helped make it possible. From scared shelter animals to beloved family members, every rescue story matters.

Thank you to every adopter, foster, volunteer, and donor who helps save lives every day. Please consider adopting, fostering, or supporting a local rescue.

Rescue changes everything. 🐶

Lola has been adopted 💕

When Lola first came to us, she was terrified and shaking with fear in her kennel at animal control. With patience, love, and time to decompress, she has come so far.

Now she’s headed to her forever home where she’ll be a spoiled princess and the only dog in the home — exactly how she likes it 👑🐾

Thank you to her amazing foster home for helping her learn, grow, and get ready for adoption. And congratulations to Lola and her new family ❤️

🚨 Donations Needed for Raven 🖤

Raven came to us as a tiny, defenseless kitten after being found crying for help in one of the community cat colonies we help TNR. From the moment she arrived, it was obvious she was very sick — suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. We immediately started her on antibiotics and eye drops, hoping to get her feeling better quickly.

As her respiratory infection began improving, her eyes unfortunately continued getting worse.

After additional veterinary visits, Raven’s medications were changed, she was started on pain medication and new eye drops, and thanks to some amazing feline blood donors, she was also able to begin serum eye drops.

Today, Raven was seen by the amazing vet team at Adopt-A-Pet, and they determined that she needs to see a veterinary ophthalmologist for further assessment and possible treatment options.

The consultation fee alone is $240 — and that does NOT include diagnostics, medications, or any surgery she may need.

Kitten season has been incredibly difficult for rescues everywhere, but Raven deserves every chance at healing, comfort, and vision that we can give her.

We are asking for donations to help support Raven’s ongoing medical care. No amount is too small — even $1 truly helps and allows us to continue helping kittens like Raven and to get her the medical treatment that she needs🖤

Lola is ready for adoption 🤍

Meet Lola, a 3-year-old Great Dane weighing about 115 lbs, with a big personality to match.

Lola came to us as a terrified stray who wouldn’t even stand at animal control, but she has absolutely blossomed in foster care. She’s now playful, goofy, affectionate, and yes… a bit of a brute in the best way 😄

She is good with dogs, cats, and kids, though because of her size and strength, we recommend a home with children 8+.

Lola loves being near her people, has good house manners when left alone, and would thrive in a home that understands giant breeds and can provide structure, love, and room for her silly side.

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and on prevention, and f***l tested—ready for her forever home.

If you’ve been looking for a big, lovable best friend, Lola may be your girl.

We got a call today that the sibling of the kitten with the severe eye infection we recently took in had been found — and of course we went and picked her up this afternoon.

Unfortunately, this little one is in rough shape too. She has painful burns on the pads of her feet, is sneezing, and has some crusting on one eye, so she has already been started on medications.

It’s heartbreaking to see these babies come in like this, but we’re grateful she’s safe now and getting the care she needs. Hoping, like her sibling, she starts feeling better quickly. 💕

If you’d like to help with her care, donations are always

Kitten season has officially hit over here…

This tiny girl was dropped off tonight after being found under a porch at one of our colony caretaker homes. She’s pretty rough right now—her eyes are in bad shape and she came to us dehydrated—but she’s already gotten a warm bath, a full belly, sub-q fluids, dewormer, flea/tick prevention, antibiotics and eye meds.

Now she’s curled up, sound asleep on a cozy heating pad bed.

She’s safe. And we’ll take it from here.

If you’d like to help support her care (and the many more kittens we know are coming), donations can be made here:

Meet Lola 🤍

Lola is a 3-year-old Great Dane (about 130 lbs) who has come such a long way since being found as a terrified stray. At animal control, she was too scared to even stand—but in a home, she’s really come out of her shell and is now playful, goofy, and yes… a bit of a brute in the best way 😄

Lola is good with dogs, cats, and kids, but because of her size and strength, she would do best in a home with children 8+.

She loves being close to her people and does well when left alone for short periods. More than anything, Lola needs a home that understands big dogs and can continue helping her build confidence while giving her appropriate structure.

Her current foster has small children, so we’re hoping to find a home that’s a better fit for her needs.

She will need to return to Hartland, MI for her spay, and will be fully vetted prior to adoption.

If you love big personalities in big dogs, Lola might be your girl.

We are also always in need of foster homes to help more dogs—fostering truly saves lives.
