2nd Chance Cat Rescue Harrisburg 2nd Chance Rescue is a small, volunteer run, non profit stray cat rescue in the downtown Harrisburg area Harrisburg has a huge homeless cat problem.

Many of these cats are thin, sick, unfixed, and scared. There is a lot of fast traffic. The winters and summers can both be harsh. There are very, very few shelters in the area. All are full and require large surrender fees (upwards of $100). Craigslist is littered with “free” cats, dozens added every single day. In short, its heartbreaking.
