We are so excited to finally share that starting next week, we will be accepting orders for our homemade fresh baked goods located in Harrah, ok for pickup or delivery!

Print out this handy Companion Planting Chart and keep it with your seeds! 🥒 Companion planting is a simple way to grow a healthier, more productive garden—all naturally.

For example, plant dill with tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants, as well as with cabbages and other brassicas. Keep it away from cilantro, which it will cross-pollinate with. Dill also works well as a trap crop for tomato hornworms and aphids 🪲

Oklahoma’s clay soil holds water too well, which can drown plant roots if you’re not careful. 🧱💧

👉 Tip: Plant in raised rows or mounded beds and mix in compost before planting. This improves drainage, warms the soil faster in spring, and helps roots grow deeper and stronger.

🌱 Oklahoma Gardener Tip of the Week 🌱

In Oklahoma, wind and sudden temperature swings can stress young plants just as much as heat. 🌬️🌡️

👉 Tip: Harden off seedlings slowly.
Before planting outside, place seedlings outdoors in partial sun and out of the wind for 1–2 hours a day, increasing time over 7–10 days. This helps prevent shock, broken stems, and stunted growth.

We’re so happy you’re here! Harrison Valley Homestead is a family- and veteran-owned homestead rooted in hard work, love, and a deep respect for the land.

Our story started with the military bringing us together—my wife was born and raised in Oklahoma, and I was stationed here during my service. Oklahoma quickly became home, and now we’re raising our beautiful son here while building something meaningful for our family and our community.

On our homestead, we offer:
