Meet Moonshine & Spirit 🤍
Two beautiful, bonded livestock guardian girls looking for a ranch or working home together.
Moonshine and Spirit are full LGDs and they take their job seriously. Guarding, watching, and protecting livestock is what they were bred to do and what they love doing. These girls must stay together as they are closely bonded.
Their family is absolutely heartbroken to let them go. Due to financial hardship, they are being forced to sell their farm and move into an RV, and the RV park does not allow dogs. This decision was not made lightly and comes with a lot of tears.
Here’s what we know about them:
• 4 years old
• Females, spayed
• Full livestock guardian dogs
• Worked successfully with goats and sheep
• Love kids (best with kids 6+)
• Ignore cats
• Unsure about small dogs
• Confident, working LGDs who need space and purpose
They are currently in Central California and will be driving up toward Montana. Our goal is to place them directly into a ranch or working foster or adoptive home before they arrive so they can transition smoothly without bouncing through temporary placements.
States we will consider adopting these to:
California, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon
Transport will be arranged - do not worry!
GPRM covers vaccines and any medical needed.
We are urgently looking for:
• A working ranch
• A livestock guardian placement
• A foster with LGD experience who can keep them together
