🎉🐾 Graduation Spotlight: Dexter’s Transformation Journey 🐾🎉

Meet Dexter, a student who truly embodies the spirit of change and growth. Dexter’s journey began in a place of fear and uncertainty—seeing dogs would send him into a frenzy, and strangers were not allowed in his space. His world was confined to the safety of his home due to his unpredictable behavior. The turning point came when Dexter bit the neighbor, a wake-up call that led his dedicated owners to seek help.

Enter Happy Dog Academy’s 5-week Behavior Modification and Rehabilitation Program. It was here that Dexter, with patience, care, and expert guidance, began to rewrite his story.

Today, we stand in awe and celebration as Dexter graduates, with a new lease on life. He’s now a dog who can explore, interact with people and dogs, and embrace experiences that were once off-limits.

Today, we celebrate a special milestone at Happy Dog Academy with Kai, our vibrant moyen poodle! Kai’s graduation isn’t just a testament to her hard work; it’s a shining example of the transformative power of our Board and Train program. 🌟

CHIEF 🤠 came in for reactivity, fear aggression, socialization and basic obedience and I am proud to say that this handsome boy after completing our 3️⃣ week program is a reformed dog. 💙 We are very proud of him and we are excited to hear from him in the future

This is BB 🤖💙 he is a 10 month old Corgi that reminded me that there is no such thing as an easy dog to work with, he came in for basic obedience and socialization. Truthfully every dog is complex and needs to be treated as such! Doesn’t matter how big or small they are 👏 He finalizes his program this week, enjoy the graduation pictures!

Mia 💜 🐕✨ Currently finishing her 5 week board and train program with us! She’s completing her off leash training 🥳 Mia was struggling with reactivity, aggression to strangers and dogs, a lot of anxiety with not knowing what was expected out of her. Once we applied our programs with her she’s shinning! 🤩 keep up with mia in our stories 📸

This is Luna 🌙 she has been with us for the last 3 weeks. She came in for dog aggression and basic obedience, we have made a lot of progress and she is almost ready to go home 🏠 Luna is 6 years old and is still putting the work just like a young dog. she is the proof that an old dog can learn new tricks 😉

Jack ❤️ the dog that saved me.
Before I met this dog, I was lost. I lost my passion a few years back which was to be a professional soccer player. Life didn’t turned the way I expected it to be. I didn’t have no inspirations or motivation to do anything… I was going through a dark place truly.

That’s when I decided that maybe a puppy was a good idea to get my hopes up. I always wanted a dog. I was over my head really, I wasn’t prepared, I didn’t know anything about dogs or training. I read so many books and watched so many videos on how to own a puppy, I fell ready at that moment. I contacted a “breeder” in PA in the amish community who had puppies, me and my wife drove 7 hours to go see the puppies. We met the litter and since the moment I saw “bandit” at that time I knew that’s the one I wanted.

Even tho it was a harsh decision, it saved me. Jack has being my loyal companion ever since that moment and he is the reason I became a dog trainer, wanting to be a better owner for him led me to know so much about dogs that my neighbors started asking me for help and the ball got rolling and here we are today.

I’m hoping to get jack to become my service animal but we’ll see how it goes, we don’t know what the future has for us! Whatever it is we are optimistic is something good.
