Three of our amazing staff are celebrating milestone anniversaries this fall! CVTs Kelly (left) and Dominique (right) have been with HWVH for 5 and 10 years, respectively, and receptionist Jordan (center) marks her first year with us! A big congrats and a huge thank you to all three of them for the tremendous work they do caring for your pets when they have to come see the vet 🐾💙

This Friday is Day! If your pet is microchipped, here are a few important points (and a fun fact you may not have known!)

✅ Microchips are only as useful as the information registered. If you have moved, changed phone numbers, or have a new email address - remember to change the information attached to your pet's microchip!

✅ Don't know or don't remember if your pet has a microchip? Ask us to scan them to check! (P.S. your pet is never too old to have a microchip placed!)

🆒 If your pet had a microchip placed by us, it will read a temperature when scanned. No more need for... well... you know... 🐕🌡

Microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…but a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.

Our wonderful Lynda has retired after nearly 30 years of service to HWVH! If your pet has had to undergo surgery with us, Lynda was there keeping them safe during anesthesia and comforting them when they woke up. As she always told our pet parents, "Tell them you love them and you'll see them later!" We wish her adventure, grandchildren snuggles, and plenty of relaxation in her well-deserved retirement. If you would like to share a message for Lynda, leave a note below or stop in at the clinic this week where we will have a journal for collecting well wishes and favorite memories. We love you Lynda, we'll see you later 💙

Dr. St. Pierre will be attending the AVMA conference in D.C. from 7/18 to 7/22! While she will miss caring for you and your pets, we are excited to hear about everything she learns when it comes to best practices, new medications, and emerging research in companion animal care.
