Shot twice, full of pin feathers, and the skin of a quail with the fat of a swan. This was the most difficult bird to mount to date, but he turned out pretty alright!

Something that always surprises people is how much habitat and bases cost.

"Just dirt and grass" is so much more than it sounds. In the time it takes us to make those supply runs, purchase those products, and construct them into natural yet durable pieces, we could mount so many animals in that time. Even when the bases are small in size. Bottom line is.. habitat is always more work, more time, and more expensive, but it looks cool.

Long ways to go, but we're making progress. 👷‍♀️🎨🦆

I'm going to try and start posting again. I've got about 200 birds left to get done, then I'll be all caught up. It's been a crazy ride and I just want to stop and say Thank you everyone for your patience and kindness! Happy Holidays! I'll post more birdy birds tomorrow 😘
