I prepare accurate financial statements and meet regularly with business owners to help them interpret the financials. Owner and founder Susan A. Oldenburg is an experienced business owner with more than twenty-five years in the public accounting industry. As both a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and EA (Enrolled Agent), Sue has a comprehensive knowledge of business planning and monitoring as well as a specialized knowledge of taxation. Under both designations, she has unlimited practice rights and is unrestricted to which taxpayers can be represented before the IRS. When she is not at the office, you can find her reading, listening to music, cooking, spending time with her cat Lizzi and relaxing with friends and family in Door County.

The State of Illinois has now also extended the filing and paying of taxes deadline for returns due April 15, 2020 - until July 15, 2020. But, estimated tax payments due April 15, 2020 and June 15, 2020 are still due. These have not been extended.

We are hiring a part-time administrative-bookkeeper position for tax season, until April 15, 2017, for three to five hours a day, Monday - Friday. Days could be flexible for the right candidate.
This person will be responsible for data entry in our tax software, scanning, saving clients' electronic files, QuickBooks data entry, assisting CPA with various duties including lots of client contact, responding to emails, taking phone calls, etc.
The ideal candidate will be conscientious and detail-oriented; quality of work must be above-average. They like working with numbers, are tech-savvy, comfortable with people, a self-starter and follow directions. Technical skills that are desirable are experience with Excel and QuickBooks, comfortable working with PDF files, uploading documents to a portal, etc., as well as many other general office tasks.
