Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t have axels and is in pretty bad shape. We have decided to try to find someone to take it for scrap. Must take all of the trailer and its contents, not just the metal. Free though! Message us if interested!

It never ends around here….

This guy has rescue commitment but needs to have surgery first. He’ll be going to The Critter Connection on Monday to likely have this eye removed.

Happy Pupdate!

Nala, now named Phoenix, is doing great. She remains in boarding at The Critter Connection as we do not have any available foster homes.

She is great with the staff there, but hesitant around men. She definitely can’t be in a home with small animals as her prey drive is quite high (typical for her breed mix).

We’d love to find Phoenix a home for the holidays! If you’re interested in meeting her, please message us!

In the meantime, we still need help with boarding costs. That bill is climbing fast!

📣📣📣 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 📣📣

We are now PROPERTY OWNERS!!!!!!!!

We’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on our shelter project for months! While we so greatly appreciate the fairgrounds offer to build there, it was going to be very costly and still partially in a flood zone.

The property we purchased is much more cost effective as it already has water, electric, septic, and gas! It’s easily accessible and located right along the main road in Griffithsville, just down from the new Duval PK-8 school.

The property has an older model mobile home on it currently, which we need someone to scrap if anyone is interested. Once this is moved off, we’ll pour a foundation with plumbing/drains and put up a 30 by 40 metal building.

This is where you come in. As the property cost $18,500, we’ll be out of money to buy the last few remaining things we need. This includes privacy fencing, a mini split to heat/cool, electrical work, and spray in insulation.

We’d like to be able to raise another $20,000 to fully cover these costs plus have some cushion to start with. Insurance will be costly and our ongoing expenses will increase.

We are applying for grants, but none of those are guaranteed. We’re depending on the community to help make this decades long dream happen in our county.

On that note, the facility will be called the FOALC Rescue Center, In Memory of Johnny Tully. We hope to honor his memory by making his life’s hard work come to fruition.

Found in Lincoln County, Harts Creek area. Green Shoals Mountain out by the gas well.

Significantly underweight, so if missing, may have been for a while. No collar/tags. Appears to be a black and tan coonhound mix.

This is us desperately reaching out for help.

We need foster homes. Badly.

We are currently full, plus are paying for two dogs to be in boarding. We don’t have any openings, at all, and probably won’t for a while. Most of our dogs are large and rescues just aren’t taking large dogs right now.

If we don’t get more fosters, we can’t help any more animals. We have zero cat fosters right now and only 5 dog fosters. Becky has the majority at her home and is exhausted trying to take care of them all.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. We provide all needed food, supplies and vetting. All you have to give is your time.

Happy Pupdate!

These babies transferred to Rescued Ohio this past weekend! We also have a large transport of cats this coming Saturday!

These were direct transfers from owner to our partner rescue. We remain closed for intakes/surrenders as our foster homes are full.

However, if you have a need for help, you can always send us details so we can network. If dogs are smaller/puppies, we have a lot of luck finding other rescues to take them. Big dogs, especially pit mixes, are nearly impossible to find homes for right now and why our foster homes remain full. 😢
