Friends- We received this email (below) from San Antonio ACS about this 6 month old boy who will soon be on the euthanasia list. He is 28 lbs.

Bentley's pelvis is healing after being hit by a car. Hopefully he won't need any type of surgery. Either way, he needs a FOSTER HOME.

If we can secure a foster home, we can help him.

Thank you for being an amazing rescue partner for the pets at San Antonio Animal Care Services! We are seeking placement for Bentley, a resilient pooch who was brought to our vet clinic on 09/26/25 due to a hit by car accident. Despite the trauma, Bentley has shown us nothing but heart, courage, and unshakable tenacity. He is now ambulatory, eating and drinking well, and urinating without the assistance of our vets. Right now, Bentley’s best chance at a happy, pain-free future lies with one of our amazing rescue partners. With proper medical care, rest, and TLC, we know this brave boy can complete his road to recovery and blossom into the loving companion he’s meant to be. Please help us give Bentley the second chance he is so deserving of by pulling him into your program or sharing this plea. This pet is past his due out date, so notify us as soon as possible if you will be tagging this pet for rescue placement.

This adorable little lady has already stolen our hearts with her cute snaggletooth smile 😍 We’re not quite sure how old she is yet, but it’s clear she’s been used for breeding in the past. She’s very underweight and has a little healing to do, but she’s finally safe and on her way to better days. 🌸
When she arrived, her ear was filled with black gunk — poor girl! But after a good bath and a nice ear cleaning, she’s already feeling so much better. 🛁💗
Tonight, Kristen is heading home with her loving foster to get some much-needed rest after her big day. Sweet dreams, beautiful girl — the best part of your life starts now. 🐾✨

I was left tied beneath a sink — hungry, shaking, too weak to even whimper.
The leash burned into my neck until it felt like fire. 💔
The world was silent, but the silence hurt the most.
No one came. No one called my name.
I thought I’d fade away — just another forgotten soul.

Then one day, soft hands found me.
They didn’t pull or strike; they lifted.
They wrapped me in a blanket and whispered, “You’re safe now, Autumn.” 🍂
For the first time, I closed my eyes without fear.

Now I wake to warmth instead of cold, kindness instead of pain.
And every night, I fall asleep knowing one thing —

Today, something truly magical happened. While driving through a quiet country road, I spotted a tiny black-and-tan pup sitting all alone by the side of the field. He looked so small against the world—dust on his fur, worry in his eyes. But when I stopped and called softly, he didn’t run. He just stared back, curious and hopeful.

When I knelt down, he took a few hesitant steps forward and pressed his little paw into my hand—as if to say, “Please don’t leave me.”
That was it. My heart didn’t stand a chance.

He’s a Rottweiler pup, just a baby, with the gentlest soul behind those big brown eyes. I scooped him up, wrapped him in my jacket, and whispered the words I knew he needed to hear:
“You’re safe now, buddy. You’re home.”

Now, he’s got a name—Rocky—a warm bed, full belly, and a family that already loves him more than words can say. Watching him finally sleep peacefully tonight, I can’t help but think—sometimes, the ones who need us most don’t find us by accident.

Welcome home, Rocky.
