Let's have a serious talk about enclosures!

For years, the internet people have said a 4x2x2 or 120g is the appropriate size for an adult beardie. For years, I've disagreed with that, but why? Many of you have heard me recommend a 6x2x2 or 180g and the internet people are finally catching up with me.

In the wild, dragons have a 1 to 3 mile radius, and tend to be found basking on smaller trees and such. You may say " well my dragon doesnt move" or "it seems happy" and you may be right, but they should have a large enough cage for them to thrive.

We too tend to want larger spaces, bedrooms, showers etc. We may be happy in a 8x10 bedroom but we would all love more space, no? I was recently asked what size do I think iz best, and I said 8x30x2. Now, I know most of us dont have a spare 6 or 8' for large enclosures but its something to keep in mind, for the future.

What do you all think? Do you think a 4x2x2 is perfect, maybe you think a 6x2x2 is, or the 8x30x2, whats your hot take?

One off all white PVC cage is looking nice after cleaning up the edges. This cage has a 6" substrate lip, sealed for leaks, outfitted with LED and RHP for a snake. This size is 71x27x24. This would be amazing for a beardie, BTS, and most snakes.

What do you all think? Do we like the all white look?

Aurora's line, lives on! Penny was paired w Nubulator. He is a hypo trans dunner white aka polar. She is a hypo citrus. Sadly, these wont make polar or hypo whites but we may have zeros. She's 100% het zero, he is 66% het zero.

Wow, what a busy day. New 4x2x2 cages all for beardies. This is a very popular size cage for beardies and many other replies. I do recommend 6x2x2 if you have the space though.

With real PVC cage, you'll notice instant savings on your electric bill. Generally, this only uses a 75w bulb or less to heat for beardies. Possible savings of $300 to $400 a year if you're using 150w or more. Our cages are also instantly stackable with no additional equipment to buy.

Along with creating wonderful beardies, we also build pvc cages. Here is a 4x2x18 cage in white. You cant beat real pvc made here in the USA! This cage will require a 50w bulb, maybe 75w if room is colder.
