Hot days brings an influx of clip requests. Old horses, young horses, cushings horses, non-sweaters, heavy sweaters, show horses, retired horses, and everything in between. I see them all and we’d love to help your horse feel as comfortable as possible.

It’s a shame I don’t get to work with pretty horses at all 😮‍💨🤭😉

I hate to brag, I really do… but I just have to say I have the BEST clients in all the land! An immaculate horse to clip followed by a very thoughtful Cinco De Mayo gift! 🍸 I was so blown away, I forgot to get a picture of Happy after his clip tonight 😆 Marie, this was SUCH a fun surprise! Thank you!

Just like Magic 🪄 While the ultra wooly clips are so satisfying, this time of year is my absolute favorite! From afar, you’d have no idea how much hair he had. His beautiful, rich pre-clip coat looks amazing, but add working in 90* heat, sweating like crazy and it’s a much different picture.
A fresh clip reveals an unbelievable shine and in just 2-3 weeks time should darken back up only now leaving him much cooler for Summer! Check out that pile of hair! 😎

Two breeds with a PhD in hair growth definitely belong to our feathered friends. Both Friesians and Gypsy Vanners are very much regulars, especially in the Spring and Summer to maintain comfort in the heat. Many of them are on a 4-6 week basis.

A little of this and a little of that from April. 🌸✨🌤️This month is always one that tries to fool us into thinking horse’s coats will fully shed out, but it’s a busy month for clipping. Spring show prep, cushings, or ones that just don’t shed like we were expecting.
The beautiful shine after a fresh clip certainly looks good, but more than that, it sure feels so much better for the horses on these 85* days.
