Show B ended with a Best of Breed for my Otter Senior Doe AND a Best Opposite S*x Breed for my Otter Senior Buck! A first for me to take both top spots. 🤯
My otters got some great comments on their color which I have been working hard on.

NOGAME (broken blue out of opal bred to a castor buck) is preparing for her litter due on 10/30, we have litters due 10/30 and 10/31 so I guess we will need some spooky names! Expected are castors, opals, broken castors, broken opals and possibly some otters if the agouti gene doesn’t win out. The focus was on castor this breeding round.

If I hear of a breeder that sold crap animals to a youth they immediately are put on my do not s-ll to list, I don’t care what they will p@y me for an animal. You DO NOT screw over anyone, especially youth. As someone who judges youth shows I see it far too much.

This is how I knew those “holland lops” were crosses or NOT hollands at all at Easter. This is a 3wk old HL being fostered by one of my does for a friend. Its mother kil led the litter suddenly and it came in with a sibling. The sibling sadly passed but this little one seems to be doing good. Note the ear size, shape and current position. True lops don’t fully drop their ears until a few months but already this one has ears dropping some because a HL has a wide crown (area between ears) and as it grows the ears change carriage. Breed standards are there for a reason- breeders need to be honest and honor them if they are raising a specific breed!
This kit NOT looking for a new address, my friend will be taking it back.
