🌈🐾 With heavy hearts, we share that Moxey, beloved therapy dog and gentle soul, crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully last week at the age of 15 with her buddy Blitz.

For a total of 6 beautiful years, Moxey and Blitz served as Ada Brosier Counseling Services, PLLC therapy dogs, offering quiet comfort, warm presence, and unconditional love to over 50 clients. Whether nestled beside someone in grief or simply sitting in stillness with those navigating anxiety, Moxey and Blitz both had a way of making people feel safe, seen, and deeply loved.

They both worked with grace and intuition—rarely asking for attention, but always offering it freely. Their tail wags, soft eyes, and calming energy were a healing presence for many.

Moxey passed peacefully, surrounded by love, alongside her therapy dog partner Blitz(12). Their work here is done, but their legacy lives on in the hearts they helped to heal.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed Moxey and Blitz into their sessions, their stories, and their hearts. 💗

Moxey and I wish you a safe and fun Independence Day!🧨🎉

📣May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I am here to honor the strength and courage it takes to seek support, speak your truth, and heal at your own pace.

Mental health isn’t a weakness—it’s a part of our overall well-being. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, grief, or burnout, you deserve care that meets you with compassion and respect.

This month, let’s reduce stigma, center safety, and remind one another:
You are not alone. Your story matters. Healing is possible.

There are many toxic household medications that could accidentally be ingested by your pet. Ibuprofen is the most common human medication ingested by pets and can cause stomach ulcers and kidney failure.

Follow these tips to keep your pets safe!

✅ Be sure to keep all medications both for humans and pets away from your animals (unless specifically instructed by a veterinarian to give them medication.

✅ Never leave pills OR pill bottles sitting on the counter or in a place where a pet can reach them (some dogs can easily chew through a pill bottle).

✅ If you accidentally drop a pill when taking it out of the bottle, quickly pick it up so you know your pet won't find and eat it.

✅ Never give a medication (human or prescribed to another animal in your household) to your pet without consulting a veterinarian first.

If you suspect your pet has consumed a human medication or a medication meant for another pet in your household, immediately contact Animal Emergency Hospital of Grand Rapids at 616-361-9911. You can also connect with the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.
