Meet Bugs!!

Bugs is a friendly and affectionate boy who's eager to find his new home. Bugs is treat-motivated and sits patiently for treats, making training a breeze. He shows his sweet side by sticking close to and keeping an eye on the treats, proving he’s both loving and food-focused! While he enjoys attention, he’s pretty calm and has a mostly low-energy demeanor, making him a great companion for someone looking for a more relaxed dog.

Bugs is mostly good on the leash and enjoys his walks, although he may pull a little here and there. He’s well-mannered and easygoing, preferring to stay close by rather than rushing ahead. Whether you're in the mood for a quiet cuddle session or a calm walk, Bugs is always happy to be by your side.

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who enjoys a slow-paced lifestyle and the occasional treat, Bugs could be your perfect match!

As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.

To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday

UPDATE: Mr. Rogers, real name Chauncey, was returned to his owners today who have been out looking for him. Chauncey is 16 years old! We are so happy for reunion!

Meet Mr. Rogers, the ultimate "neighbor" you’ve been waiting for!

This low-energy, snuggle-loving pup is all about slow strolls and cozy naps. He’s great on a leash, walking leisurely as if he’s just enjoying the scenery—and let’s be honest, who can blame him? He’s also non-reactive to other dogs, which means he’s perfectly content to let them do their thing while he calmly enjoys his walk.

Toys? Meh. Mr. Rogers prefers the simple pleasures in life, like face scratches, gentle pets, and those sweet moments when his human is near. He’s a connoisseur of naps, especially the kind that involve snores and lots of cuddling. So if you're looking for a chill companion to join you for the quiet moments, Mr. Rogers is ready to be your forever neighbor. He's looking for a peaceful home to settle into, where he can spend his days lounging in comfort and receiving all the love he so rightly deserves.

Won’t you be his neighbor?

As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.

Meet Flip Flop!

Flip Flop is an energetic and playful pup who’s ready to bring some fun into your life! Despite his high energy, Flip Flop is surprisingly good on the leash, making walks an enjoyable experience. He absolutely loves to chase toys and balls, though he hasn’t quite figured out fetch yet—he’s still learning the ropes and having a blast in the process.

Flip Flop is full of wiggly joy and is as “puppy sweet” as they come. He has a playful, fun-loving personality and enjoys running around and having a great time. He knows how to sit on command and is treat-motivated, which makes training sessions an exciting opportunity for him to learn and bond with you.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with laughter, Flip Flop might just be the perfect fit!

As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
