The Ugly Horse Bakery The Ugly Horse is a home-based artisan bakery located in Greensboro NC, specializing in European style sourdough bread. Who doesn't love bread? No problem!

At the Ugly Horse bakery we specialize in European style sourdough bread. We are constantly trying new things, but we have a few standbys too. You will be able to find our French Farm Bread every week, as well as an assortment of other types of bread that will vary from week to week, every Saturday at the Corner Market in the parking lot of Sticks and Stones Pizza from 8-12. Not able to make it to the Market on Saturday? You can also find our bread at Bestway Grocery Company!

Hey everybody, I recently realized I hadn't ever put out a formal 'we're closed' announcement! The Ugly Horse Bakery closed it's doors at the end of last year, we've moved on to a different adventure: restoring an old wooden sailboat! If anyone is interested in checking out this crazy project, I've made a page for our boat here:

Thank you all for your support while the bakery was open, it was a truly wonderful experience getting to know y'all and baking delicious bread for you! We miss seeing your smiling faces every week at The Corner Market, but we're really excited about our new life afloat, and all the adventures it will hold. Cheers!
