Our hunt test crew has started the spring off with a bang!!

8 dogs have received their HR (Hunting Retriever) titles, all of them passing 100% of the tests.

Our grand crew has been on the road the last couple weekends running a master test and an HRC test to prep for the Grand.

The 2025 Fall International Grand has come to an end. We took 8 great dogs and ended up with 4 of them bringing home grand passes.
I’m very proud of the entire crew and how they handled each test. I’m extremely thankful to the owners who trust me to train and handle their dogs. It takes one heck of an animal to compete at the national level.

Reno showed out in her first grand and stayed on 2s throughout the week. I can’t wait to see where this dog takes us in the future!

Charlee has been a once in a lifetime dog for me. She is super consistent, even when my nerves aren’t.

I want to thank Devy for putting up with me and all that comes along being a dog trainer’s wife. All of my help at the kennel, Kade Dunlap, Sam Dugger, Baylor Vujicic, and Austin Byrd, I couldn’t do what I do without all of you!!

Now it’s time for the dogs to do what they are trained for, bring on duck season!!!

We had a successful weekend at Old Hatchie Hunting Retriever Club this past weekend. We finished the weekend with 22 finished passes. Congratulations to Jack Brustkern and his dog Pumpkin for earning her HRCH.

Our young master dogs have had a busy month, running 4 master tests in a month. We started at Red Hills Retriever Club in Tupelo, hit a double at Firewater Retriever Club in Jonesboro, and finished up this weekend at MTARC in Nashville.

Time to enjoy the fruits of our labor! All of the early mornings and long days are paying off. Several young dogs had success on their first hunts and several veterans continued to do what they do. GRHRCH Deke MH got to make his 11th opening day hunt. HRCH Shine was there to pick up most of the load but the old man was able to run down a few. Good luck to everyone with dogs this year! Enjoy the season and Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
