A Harlequin Macaw is a hybrid mix between a Blue and Gold Macaw & a Green-Winged Macaw. They have a vibrant rainbow plumage with orange and red tones throughout the chest as well as blue and green tones throughout the back and wings 🎨

Harlequins often inherit the calm demeanor of the Green-Winged Macaw and the playfulness of the Blue and Gold Macaw. They are among the most intelligent parrots, capable of learning tricks, mimicking sounds, and even talking with proper training 🦜

Meet Gigi the Green-Winged Macaw ❤️

Gigi is a DNA certified female that is currently looking for a new home 🏠 She is 10 years old which is still young for macaws considering they can live up to 80 years! Gigi speaks well and loves to learn new words 🗣️ She is fully feathered with striking blue, green and red plumage! 💙💚❤️

Also known as the Red-and-Green Macaw, they are the second largest parrots next to the Hyacinth Macaw 🦜 They are often referred to as “gentle giants” due to their calm and affectionate demeanor.
