Estelle and Wild Thing had a litter of five boys and they are now two weeks old. Both parents are at least half Thai Burmese and half American Burmese. When I communicated with the leading cat geneticists Leslie Lyons, she suggested that I keep my Burmese cats at the 50% American Burmese 50% Thai Burmese and that is what I have attempted to do. One of the interesting things about using Thai imports in my breeding program is that the girls have babies without difficulty, have no problem keeping the babies fed, and they kittens are not as prone to infection as were the all American cats I started breeding.
