We recently sent the following in an e-mail to all current members. If you didn't receive it, go to https://www.cbfna.com/ and get up to date on your dues!
Hello CBFNA Members,
We hope your summer training season is going well. Over the last few years our board has been continuing to work towards the Club’s mission "to promote, protect, and preserve the Braque Francais breed in North America as developed over the centuries in France." Most of our work has been behind the scenes during our monthly conference calls, but we have put on a number of group hunts, training events, and field trials.
As we look to grow the club and provide more value for our members, we’d like to encourage you to get more involved. Our club is still small—we have just over 50 current paying members, but a much larger following on social media. As the Braque Français breed continues to grow in popularity, it is important that we do more to keep our members engaged with our mission and each other.
Recently we have had a number of board members withdraw from their positions. We are looking to re-establish the board according to the Club’s bylaws, and we encourage any current members who are interested in joining the Club’s leadership send an e-mail to [email protected]. The bylaws can be found at: https://www.cbfna.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/CBFNA-Constitution-and-Bylaws-Final-2.13.2017.doc
We are also interested in contributions from members who aren’t willing to take on a formal role. This could be hosting/organizing an event, sharing content on social media, recruiting new members, or anything else that aligns with the Club’s mission. If you’re interested, please reply to this e-mail as well.
There are a few potential group hunts in the works for this fall including: Montana Wyoming (late September/early October), Michigan (mid October), New Hampshire (Late October), and South Dakota (TBD). None of these have been confirmed yet, but we will let you know as soon as we have dates and locations locked down.
Thank You,
The CBFNA Board
