📢 Attention Blanket Hoarders

You know who you are.

The ladder with 8 blankets.
The linen cabinet that won't close.
The fleece throw you haven't touched since 2019.

Meanwhile, our shelter pets are facing a serious blanket shortage.

We're in urgent need of gently used fleece blankets, preferably around 50"x60" up to twin size. These blankets help keep pets comfortable and are easy for our team to clean and reuse.

If you can spare one or two, we'd love to put them to work helping animals stay warm and cozy while they wait for their forever homes.

Your forgotten blanket could become someone's favorite place to nap. Drop off your gently used blankets during our open hours. Our animals appreciate it! 🐶🐱💙

Fig’s Foster Friday 🌟

Paws your doomscrolling to meet…Antenna! 😺

Antenna is male and about 3 months old.

He is known by his foster as the sweetest, purriest boy! He’s active, loving, and playful.

Antenna has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (or CH as it is commonly referred to). This is also called “wobbly kitten syndrome.” The kitten is born with an undeveloped cerebellum, the part of the brain in charge of balance and coordination. This doesn’t hurt the kitty, and they have a normal lifespan. 🥰

New kittens alert! 🐱🐱🐱

Today these 3 gorgeous babies—Finn, Patrick, and Teddy—are getting neutered! 👏

This trio of brothers was surrendered from a litter when their finder couldn’t find homes for them.

After these handsome guys recover from their surgeries, they will be ready to pack their little bags and get adopted! 🧳

They’re about 2 months old. The kittens can be adopted together or separately. 🧡

Get ready to snuggle, play, and flow alongside our adorable (and available for adoption) feline pals from Fig and Friends! 😺��Move on your mat through a gentle Vinyasa flow, led by Melanie, while lovable cats weave on and around your space. Pause for a nose nuzzle or belly rub, then enjoy hang time with the kitties post-flow.

Fall in love with a companion during class? Fill out an adoption application on-site, get approved, and get ready to take your fur-ever family member home!��Bring your yoga mat, towel, and water bottle.

⏰ Hours: 12:00 pm-1:15 pm
📍 Location: Kula LEONARD is located at the corner of Leonard St NW and Alpine Ave NW at 744 Leonard St NW. Access your GR West Side yoga oasis via the Leonard St entrance.��A portion of each ticket sold will be given to Fig and Friends! 🥰

A ginger boy with striking orange eyes, Pastrami has graduated from a loving foster home to residence at Happy Cat Cafe! 🎓

This approximately 9-month-old cutie came into rescue with his 2 siblings. He was around 3 months old then, and had missed out on crucial socialization.

He is, however, a quirky little guy who LOVES other cats, is very playful, and will do anything for a lickable treat! 😋

Pastrami’s foster worked diligently on getting him slowly used to humans. Now he’s in an environment at the cafe where he can keep learning new humans aren’t so very scary!

1️⃣ Saturday, May 30 at Tractor Supply Co.

⏰ Hours: 10:00 am-2:00 pm

At this special event, each adopted pet will go home with a toy, bag of food or treats PLUS a 50% off coupon!

Each pet adopted from us will come with a certificate for a free exam at the VEG ER located at 3224 28th St SE good for up to one year after adoption!

This just offers a little peace of mind when welcoming a new furry family member.
