Hero's Heart Hero's Heart is a non-profit animal rescue and adoption organization based in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, with a hub in the Twin Cities metro area.

SUNDAY FUNDAY! Today we celebrate our mature adults and special seniors 💛 These are very special cats, having lived a life that resulted in being back up for adoption in the golden years oftheir lives.

Sometimes the guardians have a life-changing injury, are in the hospital, or have passed away. Whatever the circumstances, these cats deserve to be loved as much as when they were kittens (and no night crazies!) so please take a look at these gentle sweethearts 😺

Rambo was brought to Hero's Heart when his owners passed away. Upon arrival in foster care, Rambo was so distraught that he cried for two weeks. He was grieving the loss of the only caregivers he had even known since he was six weeks old.

With time, love, and patience, Rambo relaxed into foster care and became a gentle teddy bear cat. He even made new friends while waiting for his forever home.

After a couple of months, Rambo found his perfect match. His new guardian was grieving the loss of her senior cat, who had looked very much like Rambo, when she saw his adoption profile. This ideal match is helping to heal both of their hearts, and Rambo is thriving!

Rambo's tale is just one of many, everyday situations that Hero's Heart encounters in animal rescue. We consider each case individually for intake, carefully assessing and giving every animal the care and attention they need to feel safe.

✨ Friday Feature: From Abandoned to Adored – Meet Carolina

Carolina is a petite, cuddly sweetheart who believes laps were made just for her. This affectionate girl loves spending time with her people and isn't shy about asking for attention with her adorable, chatty personality.

She came to rescue covered in painful mats and had to be shaved, but with daily brushing, her beautiful black coat will grow back just as gorgeous as ever. Carolina may do best as your only cat or with slow introductions.

After being abandoned, Carolina is ready to leave her past behind and fill someone's home with love, cuddles, and conversation.
