Gratitude…. what are you grateful for each day? Today I want to recognize the amazing horse community that I am blessed to know. So many people in this community have supported my horse journey throughout the past 20 years. I can’t begin to name them individually because the list is so vast and I don’t want to leave anyone out by accident. Thank you to my family who got this dream started, friends I’ve made and learned with along the way, trainers who have all left me with more knowledge, associations who put on events and activities that bring us together for learning and fellowship and of course the horses who each have a bond and lessons of their own.
I am so grateful for this horse community I get to be a part of.

Instead of “a coat of many colors” we have many coats of different colors 😂.
Do we blanket our horses all winter? We do not. When the weather is wet, windy and extreme lows are expected, then we do. All horses at our facility have access to one or more run in shelters in their pastures but you always have that one horse who decides to stand right in the doorway and exclude some of the others. All owners can sleep tight tonight knowing their equine babies are warm, watered and have as much hay as they want... under a hay net of course.

Cowhorn Crossing Stables, along with Alaina, Katie and June Mousel, joined other horse enthusiasts today in visiting area assisted living facilities. Our adventure began at The Emeralds where Amirah’s grandmother got to meet her horse for the first time ❤️. We then joined up with boarders from JA Horse Co. and Marty Jacobson’s facility at Grand Village. We completed our visit at Garden Court Chateau where our very special Grandma Edna lives.
Our fingers may have been cold but our hearts were very warm 🎄☃️🤶🏼🐴
