Grand Junction friends! Tomorrow you can come see us at 530 Main St Ste A, Grand Junction for a flash tattoo event with from 12-8 p.m. She has some great first come first served designs for $100, and if you add a paw print for $50, the proceeds from the paw print go to Rez Vet. We'll also have Rez Vet merch for sale, so you can grab a shirt or sticker!

Then on Sunday, we'll be hosting a low-cost pet vaccine event in Montrose from 1:00-4:30 at Chow Down Pet Supplies.

Proceeds from these events support our work bringing veterinary care to reservation communities. We hope to see you soon!

We’re home from our clinic in Whiteriver, Arizona on the Fort Apache Reservation. Our team worked very hard and we had the most incredible support from our friends from the White Mountain Apache Tribe. The numbers are in and here is what we were able to accomplish at this month’s clinic:

Life-saving vaccines administered: 528
Preventatives administered: 605
Door to door patients: 119
Spay and neuter surgeries: 83
Specialty/emergency surgeries: 2
Urgent care patients: 43
Microchips: 69

All told, we were able to bring veterinary care to 330 pets who otherwise wouldn’t have had access to care and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

We're blown away by our Community Health Representative friends as well as the White Mountain Animal Control team. The level of support and dedication of these teams is just extraordinary and we are honored to have been able to work together to serve community members and pets with them.

We're in Whiteriver right now and it's day three of our clinic. We may be suffering from cuteness overload, but we're not complaining!

We're sending the biggest thank you to our friends at BISSELL Pet Foundation, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Cathy Bissell for stocking us up on NexGard for our monthly rez clinics. Thank you so much for your generosity and helping to keep pets healthy. We are so grateful to you!

October 18-24 is National Veterinary Technician Week, a week to celebrate the work of dedicated veterinary technicians who compassionately and expertly provide care to their patients. We give heartfelt thanks to the technicians who have joined our clinics this past year to provide veterinary services where they are so desperately needed.

Loki came to us on Friday at our recent clinic in Ganado. This poor guy was on the losing end of a fight with a group of dogs and needed a little TLC.

Loki was able to have his wounds treated and be neutered at the same time. While his wounds were a priority, being able to get him fixed at the same time eliminates the need for another procedure and all the other added benefits such as: preventing unwanted litters, decreased risk of certain cancers, and controlling unwanted hormonal behaviors like aggression, marking, and roaming. His owner brought him back Monday morning, so Dr. Lizzy was able to follow up on his care and make sure he's well on the road to recovery.

We always feel extra grateful when we're in the right place at the right time to help a pet in need of urgent care. We love being able to help pooches like Loki! 💛🐶
