I’ve got at least 2 more nucs available for sale. (Maybe a 3rd) The original Queens never came back from their mating flights, so I had them start all over again from day old eggs and now just getting around to posting…hence, late season nucs. These are local Mutts and cannot labeled as breed specific queens. (Pic is unrelated to nucs; took it years ago and just think it is fun)

I have several more Nucs available for sale for this season. 5 frame, deep langstroth style, with a 2024 queen. $190 with the nuc box returned to me after installation. Redlands, Grand Junction.

Bees will fly at 40°F! Here in Grand Junction, we’ve had oscillating weather with a warmer forecast next week. It will be warm enough for them to try and forage, burning plenty of resources looking for nectar that is not there. I’ve checked on emergency feed and replaced where necessary. I happened to notice I failed to ventilate one of my inner covers. Mold was starting to grow on the inner cover. I remedied this by placing spacers (plastic corrugated pieces on each corner of the lid).
