We offer a small and unique insured in-home Doggie Day Camp and Sleepover Camp/Boarding on four fenced acres. We have a special oasis hidden in the Tennessee countryside for dogs to have their own retreat near Goodlettsville. It’s a special place where dogs get to be dogs! I am trustworthy soul who wants to care for your fur babies when you cannot. I provide this unique experience with support fro
m my husband, Mike, who has a separate career, but works from home! We recognize that this is the important responsibility we've ever had in our lives: Being responsible for another person's dog is one of the most important roles in the world! Fur & Feathers Nash has experience growth in the recent months yet we continue to provide the highest level of safety and wellness for our campers and personalized client support to their parents. We are currently accepting a few new campers who are 60 pounds and under and heavy-set seniors for drop off and pick up at camp; there is currently a waitlist for the Pup Mobile. For those interested in Sleepover Camp, please note that you must come to day camp at least once before any boarding request is confirmed. In addition, we request your camper comes to day camp at least twice a month. Yup that's right, Sleepover Camp will only be offered for those who attend day camp at least twice a month. We are structured like this because we are a small in-home facility, so we are very mindful of who attends camp. We want to develop a relationship your camper and help them find their place in our pack. I look forward to you telling me about your fur baby! If it sounds like Fur & Feathers may be the right fit for her/him, I will send you a camper application. Please complete application and email vaccination records and a photo. After a satisfactory review, we can schedule your Meet & Greet, please plan on being at camp for 5-60 minutes. We will spend some time together in the lower part of the yard then proceed to the coop of our all natural Tick & Insect Management Team, aka the Guinea fowl. They live in their tractor coop that we move around the property. They do free range in the late afternoons until dusk. Campers get leashed potty breaks during that time period. Year round, we give Sleepover Campers full body tick checks every night to make sure those birds are doing their job. Fur & Feathers Nash is insured by PetSit, LLC. You can book with me direct or utilize Rover to guarantee my services. I’m a one woman business with support from my husband, who is an approved Rover sitter as well, but it’s sometimes nice to know there is an entire Rover team behind us. It's also nice to mention that Rover has performed background checks on us both! We love all creatures with fur or feathers! I feel like we "get animals". Actually, we all seem to get each other. Mike & I tend to connect with them quite easily. We just love that immediate level of being comfortable and cool with each camper, yes even with the pups who are notorious for being anxious or standoffish. We have been caring for dogs and cats for over 25 years. But it wasn’t until three years ago that I decided to trade my passions for food as a professional chef to become a full-time pet care professional. I created my reality to focus exclusively on your fur babies! Our mission is clear: We are going to impart the highest quality pet care with customizable options, create a trusting relationship with our clients and their fur babies, provide attentive customer service, and be the highlight in everyone's day. IMPORTANT INFO FOR POTENTIAL CAMPERS:
BEFORE our Meet & Greet I will send you a Camper Application and request full vaccination records. Wellness and safety are paramount to me! Thank you for understanding how important it is that I care for fur babies who are up to date with everything which includes the Canine Influenza vaccine. Please note that I do not accept unaltered pups older than six months. I totally respect and appreciate that some dogs wait until 18 months to achieve maximum health and wellness before having the procedure. Sadly, an unaltered pup does not seem to fit with my current set-up, but I can recommend another facility who could possibly accommodate you. Doggie Day Camp & Sleepover Camps:
We have four acres fenced in, but the campers always start out on a long lead and never left outside without being closely “supervised”, meaning I’m actually playing with them! I am home working at camp all the time! The pups get my undivided attention which makes my set-up extra great for the fur babies with a little bit of separation anxiety. I provide high quality care while being mindful of the mix of dogs we host. We play games, romp in the yard, go on multiple leashed walks, snuggle, cuddle, talk about our families, the list of activities goes on and on! Campers receive full body massages, organic chamomile facials, and filtered water is served from multiple bowls that are disinfected daily. I offer all natural dehydrated chews and single protein treats from Real.Dog and frozen Kongs with low sugar, low sodium peanut butter. I treat your camper as well as our own fur babies! For any camper to stay at camp, I do need them to be relatively well behaved and moderately good listeners. I provide a ton of activities for everyone to exercise and get their energy out along with canine enrichments activities, nap times, and healthy snacks! I look forward to talking in depth about your fur baby's needs. Additional Skills:
