A breezy but lovely day outside.

Crash and I walked from Forest Hill Park to Buttermilk west and back via the fire road.

Josie and I took a quick trip around her 'hood. The wind exposed her bum. 🤭

Ollie and I drove to Pony Pasture where he got in all the sniffs and even saw two bucks and a doe.

It's a gorgeous time of year to go outside! Leaves are at peak so we've been getting into the woods as much as possible....

It's a gorgeous time of year to go outside! Leaves are at peak so we've been getting into the woods as much as possible. Larus Park and Forest Hill Park did not disappoint. Remy the papillon is a great model. Oliver is the gorgeous German shepherd.

After two days of bad air quality keeping me inside, it was nice to get out into the world today.

Atlas isn't a fan of water and will only drink out of the toilet on the left side of the so fancy public bathroom in Forest Hill Park. But dude loves a good lounge and is always so curious.

Lola's favorite thing to do is the rock hopping and swimming. Remy is in a new "I can do it myself" phase. The only thing Lola is afraid of is other people and dogs. Remy's tiny bark isn't as scary as he thinks it is. While Lola explored, I watched a few osprey hunt and practice diving.

Kona and Sable. So excited, so excited, so excited! And then laid on a rock to chew a stick. We did finally make our way to the pile of trees and found a northern water snake hanging out there. I found duck eggs in a hollow tree!

It's been a minute since I've posted what we've been doing oitside, my bad. Weather and an injury haven't been helping us stay on schedule.

This adorable soul crossed the bridge last Thursday; a sad day for his humans, but a happy day for him. His body fought cancer as best it could for as long as it could. He was allowed to be home with his family for a day then he went peacefully in the early evening hours. We will miss him greatly, especially that happy treat face.

Part One: Iona has been such fun to have with us the last two years, I'm gonna miss the little stinker. She's super smart and very intuitive. Hopefully she'll get to live her dream not just because she'll be in Scotland, but she'll get to herd all the sheep!

It's been a minute since we posted, but we're still out here doing our thing! Running, trail running, hiking, swimming, we do it all!

Dixon, Aveline, Midna, Andraste, and Nihlus excited for their loop around Beaver Lake in Pocahontas State Park. Then again toward the end showing off how tired they are.
Tank! and Midna on their own shorter hike. Tank! is your classic over-thinker who means well but gets stuck in his head. Midna is always happy and ready for adventures so is kinda Tank's support dog. Tank! needs calm decisive happy energy with him to help him stay calm. He really is a lover once he realizes he doesn't have to think too much with you.

A weekend of long runs for these two. Sometimes an hour just isn't enough so when I can, they go for long runs on a weekend. They got to meet many dogs and humans and sniff all the things.
14 miles for Griffin/Grover.
11 miles for Lola/YOLO.
60 miles for me for the week. I am tired but the weather is delightful for now so I'm eager to enjoy every bit while we wait for summer.

Dixon asks that we please remember to clean up after ourselves whenever we're outside. Water balloon fights are fun, but the animals suffer when we don't pick up human messes.
Birds can't p**p out bad stuff like most mammals, for example. So whenever a bird eats something it shouldn't, it stays in the tummy taking up space where quality food should go. Eventually this causes the bird to starve or die of malnutrition.
Please remember the first rule of being out in nature, even if in a city/county park is Leave No Trace.
