09/04/2025 Plan B
It has been a tough almost 2 weeks now. I am SO over this arm/wrist break. The swelling has gone down and x-rays were taken again. Still very painful and so I am taking two days a week off my regular job for a few weeks. Keying all day and trying to write is way too hard and by the time I get home after work I am beat from fighting the pain.

I am forever thankful for those who have covered me with chores and feedings. Also, Saturday we have a volunteer that will be helping with the mowing for a few weeks which will REALLY help. Billy and Rhonda have gone over and above to keep everything done including feedings, chores, cleaning paddocks and catching horses for the Farrier, who always does a great job for us.

I am hoping in pain will let up more each day. This has not been fun. There is SO much you can't do without both hands. I had no idea it was required😭

Thank you to all of you❤ for the thoughts, prayers and messages to check on me.

08/30/2025 Today I had volunteers come over to help and what a huge help they were!! We did chores, cleaned paddocks, and mowed mini dwarf horses Audrey and Arlene's area. I hate to sit still and not get things done. But after my doctor appointment yesterday I may have to listen to him regarding using my arm for 5 more weeks till it heals.

We can always use help but right now it is really needed. We feed and do chores twice a day, clean paddocks and stalls twice a day and we have all kinds of other things people can do to help until I am back at it and can use my arm.

You are around horses and donkeys so please no small children. The work is heavy, dirty and will give you a good work out.

Typical farm life with a twist of fun and always laughter!!

08/27/2025 In case you are wondering. Yes, you can pick up horse/donkey p**p with a broken arm. It is slow going but women can do anything they set their mind to!! Pushing the wheelbarrow is a tough go, but it can be done.
