We believe in strategic antibiotic use in animals that are sick or have a high probability of becoming sick due to stressors. Our antibiotics are FDA approv
ed, with the oversight and direction of a veterinarian, and administered at the proper doses. We also follow a strict withdrawal schedule. This means that any animal given an antibiotic will not be brought to market until said antibiotic has had time to metabolize, ensuring the safety of all products entering the food-chain. also runs approximately 450 acres of crop land. We focus on growing corn and soybeans. One farm enterprise feeds the other, as the vast majority of the corn we grow is used in feeding the hogs we raise, and the manure from the pigs is used to fertilize the crops we grow. That’s the technical spin…but what we most want you to know is that we love we what do. Caring for our livestock is an honor and a huge responsibility. We respect the animals in our care. We work 24/7/365 and love (almost ) every minute of it. We are thrilled that you are on our site, reading our spiel and learning about where your food comes from. Besides the hogs and crops, the farm has a plethora of other pets to keep us busy. We’ve got 20 laying hens, 20 or so of the best mouse-catching cats you can find, and 2 dogs to round out our farm family. We have a garden that is approximately an acre in size and we enjoy growing fresh fruits and veggies for our family and friends. The farm is an amazing platform to teach our kids about life, struggles, triumph, and love!
