Advent Sporthorse Farm

Advent Sporthorse Farm Fire Horse Farm is a small sporthorse breeding operation striving to produce quality prospects. We are located near Giddings, TX, the county seat of Lee County.

We have fewer than 10 mares, and only 2-3 will be bred on the years we decide to have foals. Most of the mares are riding sound, and will be ridden when not in foal or nursing. Our foals are imprinted at birth, and handled regularly as they grow to ensure that they are friendly, sweet and easy to handle and train. We do not start our babies under saddle until they are AT LEAST a full 4 years in ag

e, but prefer to start them as 5 and 6 year olds, to ensure that they are mature and developed before launching into show careers. We are breeding for soundness and raising our horses to provide the best chance of soundness longevity.

ASF Spark's Legacy
"Legs"
DOB 6/3/22
Chestnut tobiano c**t

Sire: ASF Spark
(16.1h chestnut pinto son of Spectrum)

Dam: Ginger
(16.3h Westfalen approved, chestnut mare)

Half-brother (same sire) as up-and-coming young AWSSR stallion, ASF Air Attack that I also bred. Legs will be the last sibling up for grabs as their sire passed away last year.

Legs is a growthy c**t (going thru a growth phase now) with a stellar disposition. He's been handled since birth, and is very friendly, but not pushy. Easy to catch, lead and tie, but he will actually stand like a rock for baths without being tied at all. Loads into trailer easily. He's a very good baby boy with no vices.

Uphill build and 3 good gaits. This athletic youngster will be suitable for eventing, dressage, jumpers, foxhunting, field hunter, derby horse, etc.

Should mature 16.2-16.3h, but could be taller as his half-brother out of same mare is 17h at 3 years old.

BONUS: Legs has inherited his sire's "gold spots" for a distinctive, unique coat color feature.

Located in Central TX near Giddings, TX. More info available on request via PM.

It's been almost 2 years since I've posted anything, but life kept me busy in other ways. A LOT has happened over the past 2 years. But the main thing to note is that I lost Spark, my pinto Spectrum son, on Memorial Day of 2022. I didn't announce it. I wanted to grieve privately.

All of his fillies were immediately pulled off the market to retain for breeding. His unsold sons were also held back for evaluation as possible successors of their sire.

Spark's last foal was born 4 days after his passing. One last c**t that strongly resembled Spark's markings.

Considering the timing of his birth and strong resemblance, he was named Spark's Legacy. "Legs" for short.

I hope to find time to share pics of foals in the near future.

As for future breeding, I still have my Oldenburg stallion, a son of Benetton Dream, and hope to continue breeding quality Sporthorse prospects.

So stay tuned... πŸ˜ƒ

An update today from the owner of ASF Firestorm (aka Scotch)

From her:
"I took a jump lesson on Scotch for the first time this morning and my trainer said that he is one of the nicest nicest young horses she’s seen in a while. He was phenomenal."

You're doing a FANTASTIC job bringing him along slowly and responsibly, Grace Green. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. πŸ’•πŸ’•
