After 287 days in a shelter kennel, this sweet pup had almost given up hope. Labeled “too energetic” and overlooked by countless families, they watched day after day as other dogs found their forever homes. By day 156, the light in their eyes had faded—they stopped wagging their tail when people walked by.
But on day 287, everything changed. A woman sat outside their kennel for over an hour, not saying much, just being present.
Today, that same dog is riding with the windows down to their forever home, ears flying in the wind, heading to a backyard built just for them.
