We interrupt your regularly scheduled appointments for… teeny tiny hoofbeats on the clinic floor 🐾✨

Jen brought in her brand new baby piggie today and let’s just say… productivity dropped and hearts melted immediately. Between snack breaks, tiny snuffles, and those little spotted toes, he’s already made himself part of the Countryside crew šŸ’›

Now we need your help…
What should Jen name this little gentleman? šŸ·šŸ‘‡

Slowing down on walks, trouble with stairs, or hesitating to jump up aren’t just signs of dogs aging; they’re possible signs of osteoarthritis, a serious disease with pain that hurts all the time if it’s not treated.

OA is a type of arthritis that happens when protective tissue in a dog's joints is worn down, which can even cause bones to rub against one another.

Dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds can have OA pain—it's not just a condition seen in older dogs!

Librela Is Approved as Safe and Effective to Control OA Pain in Dogs, and it might be the right choice for your painful pup. If you're seeing any of these symptoms, it's time to give us a call.

Warmer weather means more time outdoors and a higher risk of encountering ticks. Your dog’s fur is paradise for these parasites, which may carry dangerous diseases that also infect humans.

You should come talk to us about what preventative we recommend year-round as a first line of defense against tick-borne diseases, but it’s still important to check your dog — and yourself — for ticks.

If your dog has a tick, you may feel a bump that's as small as a pinhead or as large as a pea, depending on how long it has been feeding on your dog

Phones ringing like a chorus, appointments stacking like puzzle pieces, a nervous client at the desk, a wagging tail weaving through it all… and right in the center of it, our receptionists keep the whole world spinning with a steady smile. 🐾

They are the first hello when you walk through our doors and the calm voice on the other end of the line when things feel uncertain. They juggle schedules, soothe worried pet parents, sneak treats to anxious patients, and somehow keep everything moving with grace even on the busiest days.

What you don’t always see is the quiet magic behind the scenes… catching the small details, double checking the big ones, and making sure every pet and every person feels seen and cared for. It takes heart, patience, and a kind of strength that doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful.
To our incredible receptionists, thank you for being the heartbeat at the front of our clinic. We truly couldn’t do this without you. šŸ’›

Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week!

Tiny hooves, big debut ✨
This sweet little guy stopped by to see us today, and honestly… we may never recover from the cuteness overload. Those wobbly legs, curious eyes, and soft little baas turned our clinic into a full-on ā€œpause everything and smileā€ zone.
Visits like this are such a special reminder that care comes in all shapes, sizes, and species. Whether it’s paws, claws, or hooves, we’re always happy to help keep them healthy and thriving.
Welcome to the clinic, little one. You officially stole all of our hearts šŸ’›

While our goal is to always be on time, sometimes there are situations that are beyond our control. Please know that always, our patients and their families are our #1 priority.

Beyond those doors someone is saying a last goodbye. Someone’s pet is having the worst day of their life. Someone is finding out that their pet may not be here tomorrow and begging for just a few more days. And our team…our team took care of that patients for 11 years, while their family is saying goodbye, we are too.

Please know that we take extra time because we care about our patients and their families…and we will also take time to be there for you. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

The dog is a natural host for heartworms, which means that heartworms that live inside the dog mature into adults, mate and produce offspring. If untreated, their numbers can increase, and dogs have been known to harbor several hundred worms in their bodies. Heartworm disease causes lasting damage to the heart, lungs and arteries, and can affect the dog’s health and quality of life long after the parasites are gone. For this reason, heartworm prevention for dogs is by far the best option, and treatment—if needed—should be administered as early in the course of the disease as possible.
