NCTC Benefit Stallion Auction

NCTC Benefit Stallion Auction Annual All Breeds/Disciplines Stallion Auction to benefit the Equestrian Team, Stock Horse Team, & Judging Team at NCTC.

The faculty, staff and students from the North Central Texas College Equine Program are holding their
first Benefit All-Breed Stallion Auction to support their growing Equine Program from January 15th –
February 17th, 2014. The NCTC Equine Program is located on the Gainesville campus – in the Heart
Of Horse Country! The horse industry is a highly diverse industry that supports a wide variety of
ac

tivities in all regions of the country. Of the approximately 9.2 million horses in the US, nearly one
million of those reside in Texas. The Equine Science program at NCTC offers a great deal of handson
experience in training, breeding and management, as well as classroom instruction on the science
and business aspects of the horse industry. Our goals are to offer a well-rounded, quality education
for those students interested in becoming an equine professional, to provide the students with
instruction and experiences that mirror real world requirements, and in turn put forth a hard working,
reliable student that will be a true asset to the industry. Perfect Horse Auctions will host the benefit stallion auction. Stallions will be advertised to an audience
in excess of 10,000 horsemen from the US and in other Countries who regularly visit each auction, in
addition to attendees of many various events hosted on campus and at the Equine Center. All
proceeds from this auction will be used to support NCTC equine students and their activities, including
the IHSA English and Western Show Teams, Judging Team, as well as the Stock Horse Team. Donations are greatly appreciated and qualify as charitable contributions, and are tax deductible in
accordance with applicable laws. To donate please contact Becky Terrell or Bill Kaven at

Known in our training class as Belle then, now as a 3 year old, proving she has what it takes to make a reining horse!

Our NCTC Training class was fortunate to work with this talented filly, as a weanling-halter breaking, leading, then as a yearling-saddling, lunging and stepping in the stirrup. It's so much fun for our students to keep up with their careers. It's like bragging rights when they hit the big lights!

Our program is blessed by area breeders who supply us with quality prospects!
