Rehabilitating aggressive behavior is something that takes a while. Sometimes there is a sudden breakthrough, other times the changes are so subtle it may seem like the dog is in the same spot. What most people don’t realize or understand is that dogs learn by repetition and imitation! The more they repeat, the more solid that particular behavior becomes. Canyon repeated aggression to fight dogs he was afraid of. Now he’s being exposed to senior, balanced and trained dogs so that he has a neutral experience. Many neutral experiences as well as not letting him repeat the unwanted behavior is what will eventually eradicate the bad behavior.
