Iko is still missing ... we've had an incredible army of volunteers putting up signs, putting out feeding stations, had a drone operator donate his time and hired a tracker: we THOUGHT we were going to catch him, but no sightings since Dec. 27.

If you have seen him - or MAYBE know someone who HAS him - please let us know. He was last seen near 98 off Olive Branch and Patterson Roads in Durham. If you are interested in helping us expand our search area with signage, please let us know! To help or IF you know anything about his whereabouts, text/call 919-673-6338.

🚨 emergency 🚨

We are headed to ER right now with Mimi. He seems to have an abscess potentially. It’s new, but he is in a lot of pain. This could be very expensive so asking for help now as we leave for Veterinary Emergency Group.

The original alligator if anyone wants to see WHY getting our Gator from is so important! 😅 Bonus, you’ll get a little night time routine with the 5 little behavior fur kiddos at the sanctuary. It’s always chaos with this crew. 🤣 Stay tuned as we get the “back up” Gator or second Gator or whatever he becomes! 🫠

We are still playing catch up from getting to post 12 days of Christmas, but hey - there are still a few days! Thank you to the Wallace family for dropping off these sweet gifts for the pups and kitties! We admit, Percy may have broken into the bag and got some for him and his friends before the picture 🤣 but we didn’t get pics so it didn’t happen! 😂 We will continue to post all the gifts that everyone received as well throughout the next few days as we come back online from our small social media reprieve. 💞

Each of them has a story. Each of them is worthy. And each one is patiently waiting for the right match.

We FINALLY found Bolt-O (aka Weasel)’s favorite toy and I had a dog Mom fail and missed the open time for for New Years! 😭 A huge shout out to the team member who searched high and low at the Cary, NC store and we will be back for the Gator tomorrow! 🤣

(this has been a SAGA and then I saw another puppy online recent with one so it reinvigorated the hunt!)

✨ Hello, 2026 — and thank you for 2025 ✨

As we step into a new year, we want to pause and reflect on what you made possible in 2025 at All Animals Sanctuary and Rescue. 💛

Right now, we are caring for:
🐶 13 dogs — Pippin, Archie, Theaux, Percy, Jack Jack, Lo**ta, Acorn Muffin, Beanie, Bolt, Finn, Peanut Butter, LJ & Merry
🐴 2 horses — Boots & Willow
🐔 19 chickens (yes, they all have names 😅)
🐱 3 cats — Luna, Tusky & Roswell

In 2025, 12 special-needs animals found their forever homes:
Coco, Chickpea, Cloud Muffin, Tucker, Jumbo, Vinny, Mushu, Oreo, Peggy Sue, Stitch and Bonnie 🐾🎉

We also celebrated Savanna, who graduated to barn cat life and is thriving in a safe, working home where she gets to live on her own terms. 🐱🌾

This year, you helped us support Senior Max and Albert into permanent homes with medical care addressed before adoption. You stood with us through hospice care for Felix the dog and Goldie the hen, and through difficult goodbyes to Bubbles the hedgehog, our senior blind Eastern box turtles, and many beloved feathered kids lost in a heartbreaking predation accident.

Beyond our sanctuary, we worked alongside other rescues to save lives — including Wilson and Hamburger with Crisis Dogs — partnered with US Dog Coalition, and supported over 100 small businesses through AASR-hosted markets.

As we begin 2026:
