Update 8-25-25: We've received several promising applications for this pup so aren't taking more applications for now. Thank you!

Jacob in Coatesville, PA

This sweet little Ruby boy is from Chester County. Jacob came into rescue because he was born blind, and his breeder wanted him to have a good life. Jacob is very well adapted to being blind, and navigates well around the house and the yard.

Jacob was born with multiple congenital ocular abnormalities. His eyeballs did not develop appropriately. He was also missing his lower eyelids (eyelid agenesis) and had dermoids. The eyelid agenesis and dermoids can be painful if not treated, so it was recommended that he have bilateral eye removal. Jacob had the eye removal surgery in July and has recovered nicely.

Jacob is on the smaller side, and is estimated to grow to about fifteen pounds as an adult.

This little precious nugget of love is incredibly smart and loves to learn. Jacob is incredibly food motivated, and loves learning new things both for mental stimulation and to better help him navigate his world.

It is also preferred that there be another dog (preferably with a calmer personality) in the house, as Jacob often uses the other dogs as his guide. Continuation of his training and socialization will be important.

Lets talk about Fly Catching!

This video was created by Prof. Clare Rusbridge at the request of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel community who would like veterinary professionals to know more about this disorder.

"This is a very poorly understood disease and despite recognising it for decades, we still do not know the pathogenesis or even if the dog is hallucinating.

A common finding in affected dogs is gastrointestinal disease (for example inflammatory bowel disease or intolerances/ allergies).

In this short video I show an affected dog and discuss management. Thanks to Cavalier Matters and Bliss Cavalier Rescue for material."

In this blog, Arden Moore unleashes tips to make on road adventures safe for your dog! Most dogs, like my Kona and Emma, seem to have a sixth sense of knowing they will be joining you for a walk or a car ride even before you reach for their leashes and harnesses. Most dogs really, really dig hopping...

Important Reminder About Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times

To ensure the safety and well-being of all the dogs in my care, I kindly ask that you arrive at your scheduled drop-off and pick-up times.

When a dog arrives or goes home, it affects the group dynamic, and I carefully manage those transitions to keep everyone calm and happy.

I plan each day based on scheduled appointment times, and delays or early arrivals can disrupt not only the dogs' routine but also the overall environment of my home.

Because this is a home-based business, I also need to step out for appointments, grocery pick ups, etc.
To minimize disruption, I schedule appointments during the dogs’ nap time whenever possible. This helps ensure smooth transitions and allows me to give your dog the attention they deserve.

Please understand how important it is to arrive on time.
If you need to change your appointment, let me know in advance and I’ll always do my best to accommodate.

Thank you for your cooperation and for trusting me with your pups! I love my job!

Adopted! 🏠

Beau in Dallas, TX

Meet Beau, an adorable 8 year old Blenheim boy with the friendliest personality and the cutest little teddy bear face. Beau’s heart is overflowing with love, and he’s eager to share it with a family that will cherish him for the rest of his days.

Beau came into rescue due to his elderly owner no longer being able to provide for his needs. He is affectionate and loyal, wanting to stay close by your side throughout the day. He will even try to get in the shower with you if you will allow it! Beau is energetic for his age and enjoys going on walks, playing with balls, and being outdoors in the fenced yard where he can sniff to his heart’s content. When you’re ready to settle in for some relaxing moments, Beau is right there beside you, taking his place on the arm of the couch or the recliner.

In great health, Beau is up to date on all his vaccinations, recently had a dental cleaning and a minor soft palate surgery to help his breathing. Beau is also microchipped. He is fully potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door whenever necessary. He will also bark at the back door if he decides he’d rather use the “big door” for yard access.
