Maybe that’s why I never stop fighting for them… because in a world that can be so cruel, dogs continue to show us what unconditional love, forgiveness, and loyalty really look like. If only humans had hearts like theirs.. this world would definitely be a better place.

Meet Jenny 💕
We responded to a call for a donkey left behind after her owner passed away. We don’t know the circumstances leading up to this but we did find out her name is Jenny🥺 She’s underweight, has severely overgrown hooves, and is in need of some serious TLC. Thankfully, she’s now safe and currently at the vet getting the much needed care she has needed for a long time! 🫏🫶🏼

, I’m specifically talking to you on this one.
Stop the excuses.

⬇️QUICK BREAKDOWN.. LET'S DO THE MATH⬇️
❌Getting your nails done: $45 – $100 💅
❌Eating out or fast food for two: $30 – $50 🍔
❌Starbucks for a few days: $20 – $40 ☕️
✅SPAY/NEUTER FOR YOUR BELOVED PET: $25 🐾

I’ve worked in every shelter here, and after years of seeing this crisis from every angle, it always comes back to one thing: spay and neuter. Rescue, fostering, and adoption all matter, but we’ll never get ahead of this crisis if we don’t address the source.

I’ve attached a link for low-cost spay/neuter assistance for $25. Even if the schedule is full, fill out the form to be placed on the waitlist. Please be patient, this program is made possible by the SNIP Bus team, who travels to the Central Valley to provide these much-needed services. And if you receive an appointment, please show up. These appointments are limited, and a missed appointment is a missed opportunity for another family and another pet in need.

Low cost spay and neuter for low income families. This does not guarantee an appointment right away. If you don't get a text you will be placed on the waiting list.

This sweet 95lb Rottweiler had been spending the last week tucked away in the shade of a resident’s front porch. After checking with neighbors, no one recognized him, and he safely made his way into our care. Today he was reclaimed by his family! He will be back home with them tomorrow after he is neutered. 🫶🏼

With the 4th of July right around the corner, this is a great reminder to make sure your pets are microchipped and wearing identification. The holiday is one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets, and a little preparation can make all the difference in getting them home safely. 🐾🖤

Responded to a call for 2 dogs outside of a Dollar General that were reportedly barking and charging at customers, but both dogs were very friendly and showed no signs of aggression upon my arrival. Please be honest and accurate when making reports, mislabeling animals can negatively impact their outcome and take response time away from true emergencies. Both dogs are now safe at the shelter on a 72-hour stray hold while we search for their owner. If unclaimed, they’ll be evaluated for adoption or rescue. If interested in either of these two pretty gals, please email:

Here’s the full story and video behind the wolf case.. And hang with me, this one is longer than normal, but worth the watch.

What you’re about to see is the side of animal control most people rarely see.

A report came in about a wolf being kept in conditions she never should have been in. Once on scene, we discovered a grey/Indian grey wolf who was severely underweight, weighing only 42 pounds. A wolf should never weigh that little, and should never spend its life chained.

Because wildlife cases require specialized care, Fish & Game came out and performed DNA testing on site so we could determine exactly what she was and find the best placement for her needs.

But that wasn’t the only animal involved.

A wolf hybrid was also seized, who eventually boarded a plane to his new rescue sanctuary. Then came the remaining animals.. pigs, ducks, and chickens, who had been left behind and abandoned.

What started as one response became days of follow-ups, care, investigation, documentation, coordination, and trying to make the best decisions for every animal involved.

The part people don’t always see is that these cases don’t end when the truck leaves the property. Sometimes they last weeks or months. There are investigations, evidence, legal processes, and countless hours behind the scenes.

In California, animals are still considered property under the law, but their welfare and safety remain at the forefront of every decision we make.

We know people want immediate answers and immediate action, and we understand why. But these cases are complex, and every step matters.

Every animal in this video had a different ending… but every single one deserved compassion, safety, and a chance at a better life. I’m grateful we had the opportunity to step in, advocate for them, and help change the course of their stories before it was too late.

These are the wins we hold onto.. The moments that remind us why we keep showing up, even when the work feels endless.

So a huge thank you to every single person who came together and played a role in saving these animals’ lives. From the responders in the field, to the partners who stepped in without hesitation, to the fosters, transporters, and rescues who opened their doors, none of this happens alone. It takes a village, and I’m truly grateful to be part of one that shows up when it matters most. These animals are safe today because of your compassion, your time, and your willingness to act when it counted. We couldn’t do this without amazing people like you all.

Some weeks are so hard, I almost forget that this is the whole point. I wholeheartedly believe I was put on this earth to save the animals that cross my path. And that’s what I’ll continue to do, no matter how challenging some days can be.
