Not the best pictures, I apologize for that, but new fish available. Shipping only available in California until after the holidays. Sorry, but too many delays this time of year.

Happy holidays everyone!
10% off any order placed through Monday Nov. 29th.

Now the sad part, no shipping outside of California from Dec. 15th until Jan. 4th. Unfortunately shipping becomes completely unreliable around Christmas. Thank you for your understanding.

A little bit about my quarantine procedure.
When the fish arrive I check the salinity they arrived in and adjust my water accordingly.
Fish are floated for temperature then I do a slow drip acclimation, with prime added to neutralize ammonia.
After an hour or so they are added to tanks.
I don't medicate for the first few days, as it can add extra stress to the fish. I just observe and offer various foods.
I give freshwater dips to fish showing any outward appearance of disease during this time.
After they have settled in, they are either treated with prazipro and metronidazole for one week, or formalin if they show signs of ich, velvet, or brook. If treated with formalin it's a 10 day treatment followed by the prazipro and metronidazole combo, if not the fish get the 10 day formalin after one week of prazipro combo.
A second round of prazipro and metronidazole is given 10 days after the first round ends.
Starting on week 2 all fish are fed with medicated food, API general cure for internal parasites and flagelates. This is continuous for 3 weeks or more.
After all external parasites have been treated for, fish are once again observed for at least a week.
Fish are fed a variety of foods, frozen brine, mysis, fish eggs, silversides (for predators), chopped market shrimp, and vegetable formula. Live clams are also offered after being frozen, so I guess they are frozen food too. I also feed pellets and flakes. The pellets I use are NLS with probiotics, and TDO ChromaBoost.
During the quarantine period I slowly adjust water parameters to those most hobbyists keep reef aquariums at. Salinity of 34-35ppm, pH of 8-8.3, temperature 78°F, alk 8-9 dkh.
By doing this the fish are ready right when they arrive to you to go into your reef aquarium.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Have a great day,
Aaron

Monster. Ugly. A face only a mother could love... Enough about me. Welcome Bubba, the unofficial mascot of Odin's Reef. He's a lazy bum, just sitting around eating everything, and watching YouTube fish videos, dreaming of what's for dinner. Dinner can be anything that fits in his mouth. He doesn't turn down a meal, frozen from brine shrimp to silversides, chunks of gel based foods (good for sneaking in his veggies), even large sinking pellets/sticks. Oh, and any tankmates small enough to fit in his huge mouth. He's actually a rare find from the Caribbean, and hardier than a 20 mule team. Salinity off, no problem. Temperature off, no problem. No water, no problem. They can survive out of water for several hours, as long as they stay moist. Currently at about 4.5" he's gonna be a big boy of close to 12". Even at his large size he won't need a large tank. Though I would recommend at least a 40 gallon for this pig, as they are messy after they eat. Safe with corals, he shouldn't be trusted with anything that moves, other than larger slab sided fish. Though he'll be missed when he leaves, he's ready for a new home. 4 weeks quarantine, 2 weeks observation. $120 plus shipping.

**SOLD!!**
What to say about Bonnie and Clyde? Well they just moved. Moved to a holding tank with lots of live rock and algae for them to pick at. Bonnie's showing some stress in her lateral line, I do believe it's one of those temporary things, but am willing to hold her back until the issue is resolved. They are a cute couple, but do like to bicker a lot. Pictures don't show how cute this couple really is. At about 1" they are about half grown, though 1.5" is pretty common for these pygmies. Reef safe with caution as all pygmy angels are. They tend to be one of the safer ones, but you know Bonnie and Clyde can be trouble. Pretty rare to find a pair available, and what a cute pair they are. $120 plus shipping can get you your own pair of trouble makers (not really). I would prefer not to separate them, but will for $70 each plus shipping. As with all my fish, 4 weeks of quarantine, and an additional 2 weeks of observation to get you healthy, and eating fish.

Say hi to Chester. Chester is a Caribbean tang, either Acanthurus bahianus, or A. tractus. He feels left out, because all the cool kids seem to come from the IndoPacific. He's a bit stressed in these pictures and not showing his best dress.
Currently at 2.5-3", he's eating like a champion to grow up big and strong. When he's full grown he'll be around 10-14" and will need at least a 6' aquarium. His best bud Porky, likes to follow him everywhere he goes, and he goes everywhere fast. Chester's adoption fee is $50 plus shipping. Can you make him one of the cool kids?

This is Porky. Porky the porkfish. Porky is still young, about 2.5-3". He is also a hit stressed from school picture day. Eventually Porky will need a large aquarium, as he will grow up to be 8-12" in size. He's reef safe with the caution of, he will eat crabs, shrimp, and possibly small fish. He would personally prefer a tank with other large, semi aggressive friends. At least that's what he tells me. His adoption price is $40 plus shipping if needed. He has been through quarantine of four weeks, and an additional two weeks of observation. Will you give him a place to call home?
