As many of you know, the summer heat and humidity are VERY hard on me, especially after my heart attack. Had I not committed to this girl already, I may not have followed through on taking her this far into the spring and upcoming heat. With that being said….
Meet tag 4828! She’s a red dun yearling filly from Maverick Medicine, NV. My very first mustang, River, was from this same HMA and had almost identical face and leg markings as this girl. Another crazy thing? River’s tag number was 4228. Very similar.
I need advice on names for this girl. She’s sassy, very curious, and kind of goofy.
She will be a long term resident as of now.

A lot of these chicks will be Polish crosses and have the head feathers. Almost all of the others will be Easter Eggers, lay multiple shades of blue and green, and there will be a few pure Barred Rock and Olive Eggers in the mix. Lots of color!
I have 40 ready to go currently that range in age from 1 day to 4.5 weeks old.
I’ll make bulk deals on 20 plus, and an even better deal if you take all 40!
I do have some hatching eggs available as well that will be Polish crosses, Frizzles, or lay blue and green eggs. There is no chance of anything else on the eggs.

‼️HATCHING EGGS AND CHICKS-FRIZZLES, POLISH CROSSES, AND COLORED LAYERS‼️

We’ve been seeing awesome hatch rates, and these eggs are producing a TON of frizzles, the cutest Polish crosses, and will lay shades of blue or green. I have 20 chicks out of these eggs as well! They’ll be the same crosses as listed above. I’ve added a few pictures of some I’ve kept below.
Eggs are 5️⃣ a dozen, or 4️⃣ if you buy 3 or more.
Chicks are 3️⃣.5️⃣0️⃣ each, or will make a deal if bought in bulk.
Located in Fredericktown, MO and can arrange pick up in Farmington or Desloge as well.

I made this post on my personal page as well, but I felt it needed to be shared both places.

May unfortunately has historically been a very hard and heavy month for me, and this year is proving to be no different. This year, I’m doing my best to be honest with myself and give myself some grace instead of just pushing through and shoving down my emotions and feelings. With that being said, I need to take a bit of a step back and focus on my mental health for a while.

Please don’t be offended if I’m quiet, slow to respond, or don’t respond at all sometimes. It’s not personal. I just need some space to make it through this season, and this month, the best I can.

Some days ask more of your heart than others. Today was one of those days, on multiple levels. Dealing with loss is never easy, even when it’s done with love, compassion, and the best intentions. The hard choices are still hard, and the silence afterward sometimes feels even harder. One thing animals teach us is how deeply we’re capable of loving, and that with that love also comes grief. The two will unfortunately always go hand in hand.
We’re holding a lot in our hearts here tonight and are very grateful for the prayers, kind words, and thoughts that have been sent our way. ❤️

I haven’t posted the story on this girl, but it’s mainly because we’ve been focused on getting her healthy. She was unvaccinated and COVERED in ticks. We’re ALMOST back to 100%!

I have one adult rooster pictured below, 5 juvenile but entirely feathered out birds that look to be 4 hens and a rooster, and 5 chicks that are 1-3 days old.

HOME HAS BEEN FOUND!

This girl is a 25 year old Missouri Foxtrotter. She’s SO sweet and easy to handle. Leads, loads, picks up feet. She’ll meet you at the gate, loves attention, and is doing well in my mixed herd.
She is a bit off on her back left, but she is not in pain. You don’t see it at a walk, but when she moves out any faster, it’s noticeable.
She may be able to do some light lead line with smaller kiddos, but will be a pasture pet or a great companion otherwise.
She is fully vaccinated as of last week and has also been wormed.
This is NOT a horse that needs to be flipped. She needs a forever retirement home.
