Introducing Linus! He is a fantastically sporty and talented 14.3h appy/draft cross who is looking for an ambitious and advanced rider to lease him for training, competition, and fun! This horse is agile, forward, and knows his stuff. He has a background in eventing as well as classical dressage so he is perfect for someone who likes a horse with a lot of education and buttons to play with. That being said, he wants his rider to know how to press those buttons. He is a really good sport about his owner’s beginner daughter getting on him and hacking around, so he is by no means a naughty boy, but he has the level of training where he appreciates someone who knows what they are communicating with their seat, balance, and overall aid use. His perfect fit would be a strong, relatively petite rider who wants to work in a training program and join us for shows, cross country schoolings, and clinics.
Leases include lessons in their cost and require no initial deposit, specific timeframe, or chipping in towards vet/farrier/etc. This is an ideal set up for someone who wants to train in a program and get their goals achieved without worrying about unexpected expenses associated with traditional leases or ownership.
About us: we have two trainers with 25+ years of experience in eventing, hunter/eq/jumpers, classical dressage, and western. We have a lovely community of adults and children of all ages and levels. Our farm is 126 acres in Foster, RI with a lovely indoor, outdoor grass ring in the works, fields to hack in, and 80 acres of our own trails. We host a show, clinic, or social event nearly every weekend!
