💚We are hoping to find a very special Foster for these precious dogs💚

Ben and Gwen were part of a pack of stray dogs who had been surviving in a field in Everman Texas for years. They had no Shelter, no one who took care of them and no human touch— only an occasional neighbor putting food out when they could.

They were the last two remaining dogs that were still out there.

We knew we had to rescue them together. With a bobcat and a pack of coyotes, roaming the area and caught on trail cams, leaving one behind, wasn’t an option. Ben and Gwen have always relied on each other. If we took one and not the other, the one left behind likely wouldn’t survive until we could get it.

With the help of another Trapper and the use of a missy trap, we were able to safely, capture both of them at the same time. That field was the only life they had ever known.

Gwen‘s puppies were rescued a year or so ago, but heartbreakingly, she had another litter more recently, and the coyotes got to them before we could intervene. We knew we couldn’t let this cycle continue.

After being trapped, Ben and Gwen were taken to the vet, where they spent time decompressing and beginning their journey towards safety. They may have never experienced kindness or gentle human touch before. Right now, they are very scared and unsure of the world around them.

They will need patience, consistency, and a lot of love to learn that people can be safe. But they are finally out of danger— and for the first time, they have a real chance at the life they deserve.
