🐾 ENRICHMENT MATTERS — AND IT’S MORE THAN JUST TOYS! 🐾
When we talk about “dog enrichment,” most people think of puzzle toys, snuffle mats, lick mats, and frozen feeders — and yes, those are awesome tools! They help your dog think, problem-solve, and stay busy in a healthy way.
But enrichment should never stop at just toys.
✨ Your dog needs physical, natural, instinct-based enrichment too.
Dogs are born to move, sniff, explore, chase, dig, and use their brains beyond a slow feeder. That’s why a well-rounded enrichment routine includes:
🏃♂️ Physical Activity
Daily walks, hikes, structured play, fetch, flirt-pole sessions, agility-style fun — all help burn energy, support confidence, and reduce unwanted behaviors.
🐕🦺 Natural Instinct Enrichment
Let your dog be a dog!
• Sniffing time on walks
• Safe digging areas
• Tracking or searching games
• Scentwork-style hide-and-seek
• Opportunities to chew appropriate items
These activities tap into what your dog instinctively needs to feel fulfilled.
🧠 Mental Tools (Toys & Feeders)
Puzzle feeders, frozen lick mats, treat-dispensing toys, and problem-solving games offer great mental challenges — but they’re just one part of the enrichment puzzle.
Balanced enrichment = a happier, calmer, more confident dog. 🐶💛
