Good afternoon everyone! I would like you to weigh in on a debate between my husband and I! Just for fun!

In your home, who is the dog-boss? Does it matter what gender your pet is? In our family, all the Scots defer to me. They watch me for instructions and follow my cues. They wag their tails when I speak. They are generally attentive to my husband when Im not around, but he is clearly not in charge when I'm home. 😅

We're curious about the dynamic in other Scottie families!

Hey guys, we have some news we've been holding off on. On the 14th, my dogs found a large copperhead while they were outside. In true Scottie fashion, they wouldnt stop until it was dead. Minnow and Eerie both got bitten. Eerie was bitten twice in the snout and once on the back end. The ones on her face seemed to be dry bites, as there was no swelling, bleeding, etc. Her back end may have been as well, but it got infected. Minnow was bitten 2 or 3 times in the mouth. Her lymph nodes and face swelled, but she did amazing and was back to normal in 2 days.

When Soda was bitten last year, her face swelled horribly and all the hair on her muzzle fell out. The vet said that it may never come back, however, it came back lush and normal after a few months. We're grateful that both girls have recovered so well. The bad news is that Eerie was the first one expecting in September. She was still early, but at this point, we dont know yet whether the puppies were affected. She was not the only planned pregnancy for fall, but we are still hopeful.

One of Minnows babies is on a poster for Agnes Scott college! Not only that, but the soccer coach invited Louie to the first soccer game of the year. They want him to run onto the field with the team!
