All Aboard Animal Rescue (AAAR) is a rescue group based in Northern Colorado dedicated to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters from areas like Texas and New Mexico. We take these dogs and give them a second chance at life, and connect these dogs with their forever homes. Our rescue is foster based, meaning that our dogs are in home environments until they find that perfect home.

This week’s Where are they Wednesday is Cricket, formerly known as Calcifer!! 🤗🚂

Cricket came to us in September of 2025. Crickets mom saw him, quickly fell in love, and officially adopted him in October of 2025! 🥹❤️

Here is what Cricket and his mom have been up to since his adoption!

“These days Cricket spends a lot of time hanging out at work with me. Since I work at both a veterinary clinic and a dog training facility, he gets plenty of opportunities to make friends, practice his manners, and remind everyone that he’s the cutest employee on staff.🐾

He’s become an such amazing adventure buddy and he loves hiking, swimming, hanging out at breweries, exploring new places, and accompanying me wherever he can.

Cricket is endlessly goofy, incredibly smart, and keeps me laughing every day. Adopting him was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m so grateful to AAAR (+ Aly) for bringing him into my life. He’s living the best spoiled, loved, and adventure-filled life that he so deserves.💕”

Everyone, please meet Brandy! 🚂❤️🐾

The world hasn’t always been kind to Brandy, but somehow her heart remains as loving as ever.

When Brandy was found as a stray, she was suffering from a devastating injury to her ear and other injuries around her head. We will never know exactly what happened to her, but we do know she was in pain, alone, and without anyone looking out for her. After coming into our care, Brandy underwent surgery to have her damaged ear removed and finally began healing. ❤️

What amazes us most isn’t what Brandy has been through, it’s who she chose to be despite it. She is gentle. She is loving. She is forgiving.

At 10 years young, Brandy still greets people with a wagging tail and a hopeful heart. She doesn’t hold onto the hurt she experienced. She simply wants someone to love. Someone to curl up beside. Someone to spend her golden years with. 🥹

We often say dogs are resilient, but Brandy is the definition of resilience. After everything she endured, she still believes in people. She still chooses love. ❤️

Now all she needs is someone to choose her. Brandy has waited long enough for a family of her own. Let’s make sure the next chapter of her story is filled with comfort, kindness, and the unconditional love she has always deserved. ❤️🚂

Every animal we save starts with someone willing to help. ❤️🐾🚂

When people think about animal rescue, they often think adoption is the only way to make a difference. While adoption is life changing, it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Rescue takes a village, and there are so many ways to be part of an animal’s second chance. ❤️

Whether you adopt, foster, volunteer, donate, share our posts, or support us, you are helping provide hope, healing, and second chances to animals who need them most. ❤️

Every action has an impact. A share can help an animal get noticed by their future family. A foster home can be the difference between an animal leaving the shelter or being left behind. A donation can provide lifesaving care, and volunteers help keep our mission moving forward, and every adoption gives an animal the loving forever home they’ve been waiting for while creating space for more lives to be saved. ❤️

Meet Willow! 🥹❤️🚂🐱

Since arriving to our care in March, Willow has been patiently waiting for someone to see how special she is. Despite all this time in our care, she has only received a handful of applications, and we truly cannot understand why. 🥹

Willow can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her true personality shines. She is a cuddly, loving girl with just the right amount of sass to keep you smiling. The trust and affection she gives after opening up make it all the more rewarding. 💕

One of Willow’s favorite things? Other cats!! 😝She absolutely loves her feline friends and would thrive in a home with a kitty companion. If your cat has been looking for a best friend, Willow may be the perfect match! 🤭

From Willow’s foster… “Willow is a sweet and sassy kitty who has a lot of personality in her tiny body. She loves to parkour around the house with her foster brother, then snuggle up and make biscuits on your chest. She is shy with new people at first but is so sweet once she warms up.”

This week’s Where are they Wednesday is Sora, formerly known as Espresso!!🤗🚂

Sora and his six siblings arrived to AAAR in October of 2025. After a month in foster care, Sora found his perfect forever family. Since being adopted, he even got to be a big part of his parent’s wedding! 🥹❤️

Here’s what Sora’s family has to since bringing him home:
“Sora has been the best companion. We are so lucky to call him our dog! He is such a goof ball who constantly brings us joy. He is shy with strangers but oh-so loveable!“

Meet Ombre! 🐾🚂

Ombre has been apart of the AAAR crew now for 3.5 years, where he has patiently waited on his foster home for his forever home. 🥹❤️

He is about 5 years old and likely a Rottweiler mix with a big personality, an active brain, and a playful spirit. He thrives when he has an outlet for his energy and absolutely loves interactive play with his people. If you throw it, tug it, chase it, or splash it, Ombre is all in.

Here is what Ombre’s foster has to say about him!
“Ombre incredibly intelligent and has made huge progress over the three years I’ve fostered him. When he first arrived, he startled at every little sound and struggled to settle. Over time, he’s grown into a much more confident dog who has learned how to relax and trusts the world around him more and more every day. Watching that transformation has been really special. Ombre would do best with someone experienced with strong, intelligent dogs who understands structure and boundaries. He can be hit or miss with other dogs and has shown some reactivity when trying to establish himself as the “top dog” in a home. He does okay with my cat, but introductions and boundaries are important because he does have a strong prey drive…this is a dog who has successfully caught squirrels before.

Some of Ombre’s favorite things:
- Playing with his humans
- Sprinklers, moving water, and splashing around
- Cozy blankets and beds (though fair warning: he “nests” aggressively and has sacrificed more sheet sets than I can count)
- Early morning or evening walks when it’s cooler outside (He can overheat easily in warm weather and gets nervous during thunderstorms and fireworks, so he appreciates a calm, secure environment during loud events.)

At his core, Ombre is gentle, sweet, deeply loyal, and incredibly rewarding once he trusts you. He’s not a beginner dog, but for the right person, he could be an amazing companion.”

Ombre is so deserving of his forever home, help us find his perfect family! ❤️
