We are a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Colorado dedicated to saving animals

All Aboard Animal Rescue (AAAR) is a rescue group based in Northern Colorado dedicated to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters from areas like Texas and New Mexico. We take these dogs and give them a second chance at life, and connect these dogs with their forever homes. Our rescue is foster based, meaning that our dogs are in home environments until they find that perfect home.

Meet Pecos & Pistol! 🚂❤️🤠

Saddle up, y’all! There’s a whole lot of cuteness rolling into town!

These two adorable Heeler mix siblings are here to prove that good things really come come in small, slightly sassy packages! 💕

Meet Pecos (more white coloring), our handsome little cowboy and Pistol (more black coloring), his equally adorable, slightly sassy cowgirl sister! These two are the perfect combination of sweet, silly, playful, and just the right amount of drama. 🤠❤️

Pecos and Pistol are awesome little puppies. They’re loving, well behaved, full of personality, and always ready for their next adventure! They absolutely love other dogs, although we’re pretty sure someone forgot to tell them they’re still puppies. 🤣 In their minds, they’re just as big, tough, and important as all their grown up furry friends!

Their favorite pastime? Enjoying the great outdoors! These two are big fans of the fall weather and would happily spend their days soaking up the sunshine, playing outside, and enjoying everything this beautiful season has to offer.

And when they’re not busy being adorable little outdoor enthusiasts, they’re working hard on becoming proper little houseguests. Both pups are doing a fantastic job learning their house manners and proving that underneath all that puppy chaos are two very smart little pups. ❤️

But perhaps their greatest talent? Modeling. ✨

These two have mastered the art of posing for pictures. The second their foster mom gets the camera out, Pecos and Pistol are ready for their close ups!

Pecos and Pistol are everything you could want in a puppy. Playful, affectionate, funny, smart, and guaranteed to keep you smiling with their adorable little personalities. 🥹❤️

Colorado Gives Day is almost here!!! And early giving begins THIS SUNDAY, November 1! 🎉💛

Colorado Gives Day is the state’s largest 24 hour giving movement, bringing our community together to support Colorado nonprofits like All Aboard Animal Rescue. Every donation helps us continue saying “yes” to dogs and cats in need and to help provide medical care, supplies, transportation, foster support, and the second chances they deserve. 🐾🚂

There are also some incredible ways to make your gift go further:

✨ Donations made from November 1 through December 8 receive a boost from the $1 million+ Incentive Fund.

✨ The first $100 of a new monthly donation may be matched through a statewide $250,000 matching pool while funds remain.

✈️ Donations of $100 or more made on Colorado Gives Day may be eligible for hourly Southwest Airlines ticket drawings.

And we may have another exciting reason to give on December 8… let’s just say a generous supporter could be helping your donation make twice the impact. 👀❤️

This week’s Where are they Wednesday is Elmer, who kept his name!! 🤗🚂

Elmer arrived to our care in August of 2024! After his arrival, we quickly learned how spunky and goofy his personality was. His forever family quickly fell in love with his loving and goofy antics and he was officially adopted in September of 2024!🥹❤️

Here’s what Elmer’s family has to say since bringing him home:

“Elmer is the most perfect boy and instantly connected with me. He is such a sweet, loving cat who loves to explore and find new places to hang out. He is also a bit of an escape artist and is always trying his best to sneak outside, even though he knows that’s definitely not allowed!

Elmer loves spending time with his two kitty brothers, Vinny and Joe. The three of them enjoy some rough play and keep each other entertained and company. He also loves following me everywhere I go and is happiest when he can be close to his people.

Elmer is also very vocal. Every time he walks into a room, he has to announce his presence with a little meow. He loves climbing into my lap for cuddles, getting some good butt rubs, and squirming around on the floor like a goofball.

He has such a funny, affectionate, and curious personality, and he brings so much joy to my home and I love him so much!”

THANK YOU to all the rescuers, medical team, transporters, fosters, volunteers, and adoptive family involved in finding Elmer his forever home and for the beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️

Meet Tinkerbell! 🚂🧚‍♀️💕

She’s a princess, she’s a girls’ girl, she’s a little dramatic, and she’s got the ears to prove it.

Tinkerbell, or Tink to her besties, is a whole lotta ham wrapped up in one ridiculously lovable Pit Bull mix. This girl has a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a very clear understanding that she deserves to be treated like the absolute princess she is. 💅

First things first, Tink is a girls’ girl. 💗 She loves her ladies, both human and canine, and would happily spend her days surrounded by her favorite girlfriends. Don’t get us wrong, she gets along with the boys too, but deep down? This girl will always choose a girls’ night in over a boys’ night out. Face masks, gossip, snacks, and a cozy couch? SIGN. HER. UP. 🤣

And just like the fairy she’s named after, Tinkerbelll has a little sass sprinkled into that sweet personality. She’s loving, goofy, occasionally dramatic, and fully convinced that the world should revolve around her. And with those hilariously goofy ears and that perfect little face, we’re not exactly going to argue with her. 🥹

Now, Tink considers herself a professional couch potato. Lounging around, soaking up attention, and being spoiled rotten are among her greatest talents. But don’t underestimate this girl. Here and there, she’ll unleash a burst of zoomies that would make you question what shes training for. 🏃‍♀️💨 Don’t worry, though. Once she’s completed her very important athletic activities, she’ll return to her regularly scheduled couch potato programming.

Tinkerbell isn’t looking for just any forever home. She’s looking for her very own royal palace, complete with a comfy couch, endless love, and humans who appreciate a little princess energy.

🆘‼️URGENT FOSTER NEEDS‼️🆘

ALL of the dogs pictured are in urgent need of a foster placement starting TODAY until next* Saturday!! That’s 14 dogs.

We know this time of year is busy. School, vacations, work, family plans, and everything life throws your way can make fostering feel impossible. But while life gets busy for us, it doesn’t stop for the dogs and cats sitting in overcrowded shelters, waiting for someone to save them.

Right now, we have multiple dogs in need of a foster home. Their lives depend on people willing to say “yes.”

Fostering doesn’t require a perfect schedule, just a willingness to give an animal a chance. That spare room, empty bathroom, or spot on your couch could be the difference between another night in the shelter and the fresh start they deserve.

‼️TODAY - 14 pups are needing foster care for the week
‼️WEDNESDAY - 8 pup are going to be in need of foster care. 9 kittens are going to be in need of foster care.

🐾COMMITMENTS
Dogs: Saturday - Saturday or Wednesday - Saturday
Cats: 2/3 week minimum
