Raise a Glass Ranch is going to be temporarily closed starting May 21st 2022, as we will be relocating to the east coast. We are wrapping up our current engagements and will not be taking on any new projects in California. We are happy to make recommendations to others in the area if you wish. Once we get settled at our new location we will resume operations.

Our first little one of 2026 is off to his big boy home! Raise A Glass Pony Express (Alex) left last Wednesday with his new partner Cory Hershkowitz. He’ll live in Fallon, NV with half brothers Rush and Trapper John. We can’t wait to watch their adventures!

Jager continues his education! He had no problem with me putting a full marathon harness on him today, so we progressed to ground driving in the round pen. This is his first time with a bit, so I kept the lines on his halter, but he still picked up Gee, Haw and Whoa.

At 14 months, he’s 14 hands and 1/2 an inch. I’m still guessing he’ll mature to 16.1 or 16.2. I’m so surprised he hasn’t found his person yet! He’s such a quick learner and so sweet. But maybe I’ll actually get to keep him long enough to saddle train.

He wasn’t really in the mood for his photo session though…it looks like he was judging our photo taking.

Alex is pending sale, and we are very excited for his future.

Battle River Ink son Rush performed beautifully in the most important of classes recently, helping the Hershkowitz family in Leadline class! His tiny human rider is now telling everyone that Rush is *HER* horse. Too bad for Dad, eh?

Don’t they look wonderful? I just love that smile and wave. This girl might have Rodeo Queen in her future.

Mister Jager got to join in on another trail ride today, and had a few glamour shots taken. Silly boy outgrew the nice leather weanling (pony) halter, but doesn’t yet fit “horse”. I guess I need one more size halter for photo shoots!
