If you’re looking for endless entertainment, Layla is your girl! 🤩

This girl is absolutely hilarious. She has SO much personality and is incredibly confident, outgoing, and ready to be the center of attention!

Layla was originally found as a stray living in a cat colony, but TNR volunteers quickly realized she was far too friendly to be living on the streets. She made her way to April’s Kittens, and she’s been keeping everyone laughing ever since!

These days, Layla loves sunbathing in the windows, playing, hanging out in the catio, and making sure there’s never a dull moment. She’s also incredibly smart and even knows a few tricks!

If you’re looking for a fun, social, silly girl who is guaranteed to keep you entertained, come meet Layla! 💗

Tonight, we made the decision to save an entire room of cats at the city shelter after a cat housed in that same room tested positive for panleukopenia.

Because of being near a positive case, every cat in the room was considered exposed. They were all deadline-listed, and without intervention, they were in danger of losing their lives because they had been exposed to the deadly and highly contagious disease.

So, we took all 9 cats into our care, giving every single one of them a chance.

The 9 cats are now strictly isolated in our isolation ward. Our team will be monitoring them closely and providing proactive supportive care while we wait and hope that none of them develop panleuk.

If you’d like to help us care for these cats, please consider donating. Their care will require additional testing, supplies, medical care, and lots of TLC. 💓

Meet Curry 🤍

This sweet boy was brought to our door yesterday after being turned away by other rescues. Curry has a broken pelvis, and his back legs are paralyzed. He is going to need extensive medical care, including pain management, bladder expression, and ongoing supportive care.

We’ll be honest, we are already up to our ears in medical cases right now. But our mission has always been to take in the cases that everyone else says no to. So when Curry needed someone, we said yes.

His road ahead is going to be a long one, and we don’t know yet what his recovery will look like.

Today, we’re remembering a true icon whose kindness reached far beyond music. Dolly Parton has long been a champion of animal welfare, and her compassion for animals inspired us to give a very special litter of kittens names honoring her legacy.
