🦗🍽️ Did You Know? Mantids Don’t Have to Live on Fruit Flies Alone! 🍽️🪰

As your mantis grows, it’s important to offer a variety of appropriately sized feeders to keep them healthy, active, and thriving. While fruit flies are a staple for many young mantids, there are plenty of other great options!

✅ Dubia Roaches – Nutritious, easy to digest, and packed with protein.

✅ Crickets – A classic feeder that encourages natural hunting behavior.

✅ Mealworms – Great as an occasional treat and easy to keep on hand.

✅ Blue Bottle Flies – One of the most exciting feeders for mantids! Their flying movement triggers a strong hunting response and provides excellent enrichment.

Offering a variety of feeders can help provide a more balanced diet while keeping feeding time fun and engaging for your little predator. 🥷🦗

We are always so terrible at getting photos while the show is actually happening, because we’re usually so busy talking, answering questions, and helping everyone—but wow, today was absolutely amazing!

We truly can’t thank you all enough for the support. Whether you stopped by to check things out, ask questions, pick up new additions, or just chat reptiles with us, it means the world. Days like today remind us why we love doing this so much—getting to share our passion, meet awesome people, and be part of such a great community.

We loved seeing both familiar faces and meeting so many new ones. Your excitement, curiosity, and support keep us going and help us grow every single show. It never goes unnoticed.

We’re already looking forward to the next one—and we promise we’ll try to get more pictures next time (no promises though 😅).
